On the other side of the facility, there was a long hallway that had been nearly empty, the walls had dust in its crevasses and mold was launched in the small cracks of the concrete. In the furthest corner, there was a dark, eery staircase that led to a small cell. The bars were rusted and the white paint was coming off in flakes, there was dirt, grime, and blood on the floors of it and cockroaches that crawled on the ceiling.
In the darkest corner, sat a girl.
Her knees were tucked tightly into her chest as she squeezed her eyes shut and hid them in her arms. You could hear the shaky, terrified sobs that racked her body when you neared. She wore a loose shirt that was torn and bloodied, and it was nearly a dress on her small, delicate body. If you were close enough, you could hear her muttering incoherent sounds, though, not correctly pronouncing them.
On her back side, you could see the slash marks and the small puncture wounds from the small scalpels they would use on her as punishment, or when they needed to let their anger out. She had dirt covering her forehead as she rubbed it against her forearm once more. Once the guards reached her cell, they reached over and flicked the switch that was attached to the wall. A single, yellow, dim light that caused the young female to jump in surprise. The light barely made a difference, but the girl was now in sight of the men, no longer safe in her dark corner. She let out a small audible gasp as she pressed herself into the wall, but it was no use.
The guards quickly pried the large cell door open and grabbed her forearm harshly, causing her to wince and a as she tugged against them slightly, a sob escaping her lips.
The men only gripped harder.
The girl could barely put up a fight, tears streamed down her cheeks and blurred her vision as the men dragged her along.
