I realized that a thing I put in the last few chapters may not be clear. When in other characters' points of view they don't know when a different voice is taking over Travis's head. So instead they describe him shaking his head. This is another voice taking control but Travis is not fighting back so it's not as intense as the one from the actual series when the Demon Warlock first takes control. Travis by now has gotten used to it so he shakes his head and has specific movements as something takes control. On other chapters pay attention to when he shakes his head because that's Travis and the voice switching. (not this one though because it's not a pov one)
"Here we are!" Garroth said.
Travis woke up still holding onto Katelyn and opened his eyes to see the house. Dante looked as though he was waking up aswell and Lucinda looked up from her book which she seemed to be reading for the trip.
Travis, Katelyn and Dante waited for Lucinda and Zane to get out so they could as their seat were in the back and the doors were right next to the middle seats.
When Travis stepped out of the van he went still. It had been so many years.
"Are you okay?" Katelyn asked with her hand on his shoulder.
Travis gave a small nod in response but his face said otherwise. But he still walked towards the front door.
The cabin looked similar to the other one but with several architectural changes. Everyone rushed into the large cabins to avoid the cold winds of the winter outside. Hen inside though everyone took in the room. There were pictures on the wall of Travis with his father.
"Awww, look at little Travis!" Laurence squealed as he stood a foot from the gallery wall. "Man you were such a cute kid, what happened?" Laurence said sarcastically. Travis punched Laurence in the shoulder.
"Okay, let's split up." Travis said backing up from Laurence and looking at the group.
"How do we know if someone found it? We can't text each other. There is no reception." Lucinda asked.
"We scream." Garroth proposed.
"I vote on screaming." Laurence said.
"Why am I not surprised." Lucinda groaned.
"Let's all meet back here in 20 minutes." Travis said.
Travis and Katelyn walked up what looked like a grand staircase and found a hallway with multiple doors.
"We should check my bedroom first."
"Ah yes, I'll remember this always as the first time my boyfriend invites me to his room." Katelyn said jokingly.
Travis gasped and they both laughed as Travis opened the door.
The walls were green. The sheets were green. Everything screaming 'Travis lived here'. And to build more character it was a mess. I guess that's the kind of thing you learn young.
Travis gasped getting the attention of Katelyn.
"What is it? Did you find it?!"
"No it's my photo album! Aw, damn." Travis opened it to reveal lots of photos of his young self.
"For a second I thought y'know you were focusing on what we are doing." Katelyn said looking up.
When she looked up at Travis he seemed to have not listened to her. He was focused on the album in his hands. Though he had a sad look on his face.
"What's wrong?" Katelyn asked worried.
Travis gave no response. He had gone completely quiet.
Katelyn walked over to Travis and looked over his shoulder at the album.
Travis was being held by a women who looked similar to him. It was clear to Katelyn that this was his mother. It explained the sad expression on Travis's face. The picture looked to be a selfie, taken by Travis.
"I loved taking pictures of all of us. Though not just us..." Travis said trailing off as he flipped the page.
But Katelyn's eyes widened at the next pages.
"Is that...me?"
Travis gave a sad nod.
"It's so hard to believe that back then you actually liked getting your picture taken. You were my own little model." Travis gave a sad chuckle. "Now if I remember these pictures take a sad turn."
Travis flipped to subjectless pictures. There were no smiles like the last ones. Pictures of bottles and broken glass and...blood.
"I hoped somebody would see them and come save me." Travis said, his voice getting unsteady.
"Travis...I'm so sorry."
"It's okay. I only started taking these pictures after you left."
"You didn't deserve this..."
Travis looked at Katelyn. His eye sockets damp as the tears were adventuring down his face.
"This is going to over." Travis said speaking like a promise.
