"All you have to do is pick up these different weights. Right now is just how much you can pick up while using human strength." The man instructed. Travis glared at the man but did as he was told. Travis had told them from the first couple of days he's not going to just turn into a crazy supernatural demon thing if they asked him to. Yet they insisted that it would make a difference.
Travis knew things about himself that they have been trying to find out for months but refused to tell them. Travis isn't supposed to be weak. He had all of his powers taken from him. The magic council of wizardry felt very strongly that Travis was to dangerous after his "birth". So what did they do? They stole it from him. Well a little lesson for you mortal humans out there. You can't take magic from a magical being. Its part of their body, its part of their SOUL. So they took this peice of soul away from him. You can't destroy a soul. It always has to stay present.
"Okay lets get started."
He picked up the weight and they wrote something down on their clipboard. Lifting weights was only enjoyable when Katelyn was with him. He felt motivated. Though he had gotten a lot more ripped since Katelyn last saw him. Wonder if she'll be impressed.
Hours Later...
Travis just stared at his phone. How nice it is to no longer be hooked to a bunch of different cords and wires testing his heartbeat and crap. He felt like Eleven from Stranger Things.
The numbers just changed. Start of Katelyns lunch break.
Clingy...yeah...Desperate...ABSOLUTELY! He picked up his phone and hit her number. He could hear it ring. It ringed...ringed.....ringed. Okay maybe he's being a bit eager. Her lunch break literally JUST STARTED. But Travis still wasn't to sure she'd pick up. Just then he got a text.
Sorry babe I can't talk right now
Travis threw his phone next to him on the bench he was sitting on. His head fell into his hands. "Come on Travis time for lunch." The man that walked him into the lunch room said not looking up from his phone. He brought his head back up not at the mention of food but to free his hands. He looked down at his right hand. Snap.
"What in the world happened to the Internet."
The man said running out of the room to go see what was wrong. Tried running. Soon enough the man fell right on his face. Unconscious.A smirk appeared on Travis's face. Its go time.
