My eyes were closed as I inhaled deeply, exhale. Inhale. Exhale. All good and well.
Until Jean walked up,
"What are you, a fucking Buddhist, or somethin'?"
My eyes snapped open as my brow furrowed, vision shooting upwards to look at the tall and intimidating male in front of me.
"No, Jean. I'm not a Buddhist. I'm a fucking nervous wreck for no apparent reason."
Jean perked a brow and sat down next to me on the stone steps just outside the headquarters, "Why?"
"Didn't I just fucking say 'for no apparent reason'?"
Jean squinted at me and sighed, "Don't worry so much. Just another 'Get Hanji Titans and Murder the Excess Ones' mission."
"I know, but It doesn't feel right this time. I think it's because of what's been happening with me and Levi."
"What's been happening between you two? Did you apologize?"
"That's the problem. I have no idea what's going on. Sometimes we want to murder each other, and sometimes we can't live without one another, and no. I didn't get a chance to."
Jean sighed and looked away for a moment. "I can't tell you what to do here besides attempt to calm down, man. I don't get what you and Levi are doing, and I don't think it'd be the same if I apologize to Levi for you. Good luck, Eren." With that, Jean looked back at me and smiled his bright smirk, this time it didn't seem so cocky. More encouraging.
I smiled back and looked down as Jean stood up, walking down the steps.
"Hey, Jaeger."
I looked up and acknowledged his call with a nod of the head.
"Love you, okay?"
My eyes snapped open wide as I watched him grin and jog away to Connie. I smiled as I looked around at everyone acting so casual, setting their gears on and everything. Everyone pretty much knows how to set their straps on.

Everyone but Bertholdt sometimes. This time mostly because he's nervous as fuck, being on Levi's squad and all. I watched carefully with a soft smile on my face as Reiner shaked his head and jogged over to help him.
"Let's go." I heard a deep voice say from behind me as my hair was slightly ruffled. I didn't bother turning around because I knew who it was.
