Yuta's POV

Sighing, Yuta turned off his phone. He leaned back in his chair, regretting going to the MAMAs.

Though not because he didn't like Mark,, , Yuta really likes Mark - he daresay he loves Mark - but he wasn't expecting a love confession in front of millions of people and he panicked. It wasn't declaration of love Yuta had expected. In his dreams and fantasies, Mark would finally buy a backstage pass to one of his concerts (honestly Yuta was shocked that Mark thought that he didn't know about his attendance - he noticed the first time and had asked the security to pick Mark out from the crowd and alert him every time since) and Yuta would finally meet Mark face to face. Yuta didn't really care for online relationships and wanted all their milestones to be in front of each other. For real, and not in the presence of anyone else.

Anyway, so Mark would come backstage and there would be chemistry as soon as they made eye contact. Yuta would talk to the other fans, but would whisper to Mark to stay behind - while also giving him his phone number. Mark would blush while nodding - he seems like the type to blush a lot. Once they were finally alone, Yuta could tell Mark how he really feels: completely infatuated, in awe and should he agree, they'd go on a date the next day. Then, Yuta would ask Mark to be his boyfriend on a picnic date - secluded so there was no chance of getting recognised and ruining the moment.

In short, Yuta stormed out because nothing went according to plan. He didn't mean to glare at the centre of his world-

It didn't seem like a bad idea at the time, but clearly it was since everyone was talking about it, thinking that Yuta hated the poor man. Even worse, some people started to think Yuta was the bottom. No. Not for Markie anyway.

At least SM didn't care, they liked the publicity.

His biggest worry, however, was that Mark wasn't being serious. What if Mark just pitied him? What if Mark just thought he was pathetic? Yuta didn't feel like Mark should be a fan of his - Yuta wasn't good enough. How could someone so perfect idolise him? This could be some sort of elaborate, sick joke and once Mark realised that Yuta was never going to reply to his messages until they met in real life, then he'd get bored and give up.

Even if Mark as just joking, Yuta would still thank him for the support. He practically owed him his entire career.

Yuta reopened his phone, his instagram feed was boring- so he switched accounts. To his stan account. More specifically his Mark stan account.

He scrolled past all the Yumark edits (he was going to make them real one day), liking each one. Their fans were,, , creative. It was fun to see what thoughts and theories they had about their relationship. For example, every Yumark stan had a similar style of content - himself included. They raved about why Yuta and Mark weren't together yet, or why they had never been caught in public.
