When Suzuka and Spe-7 reach the tangled shore, it's very clear that the place is far from lifeless as Zavala described it- ever since the prison break criminals of all kinds made their home here including the Fallen, the Cabal and the Hive. It was the perfect place for a man like Uldren Sov to hide out in, and a perfect place for someone hellbent on vengeance to begin. Fortunately for the two the criminals don't pay them any mind as they continue to go on about their new lives, but something does notice them. He looks like one of the undead Fallen that was seen back at the prison but he's much taller and sports a strange crown on his head. In his hand is a gigantic flame censer and his eyes glow with fury as he sees them.
"DIE!!!" The undead Fallen screams as it charges after Spe-7.
"Oh god!" Spe-7 shouts as the creature slams it's censer on the ground, creating fiery waves. Eventually the two book it, trying to find somewhere- anywhere to hide out from the monstrosity that was chasing them as not even a rocket to the face would stop it.
"KILL THEM ALL!!!" It screams again, but this time it attracts the attention of potential back up as sniper bullets hit the undead creature, making it stagger back with each hit before finally it retreats. When Spe-7 looks to see who drove it off she almost fires, but Suzuka immediately stops her. Their backup appears to be a vandal, but it looks much different than the others as it sports spiky details on it's back and it's face is protected by a mask. The strange Fallen simply salutes them and ushers them inside the building. The two simply follow the vandal until they reach someone who looks foreboding- if you could call a big belly foreboding. This vandal sits on what appears to be a fancy throne, and in his hands is a dead ghost, a dead ghost which he fiddles with like a rubik's cube.
"Well well well! Look what the cat dragged in!" The fat vandal shouts. "Who may you be?"
"Well, who are you?" Suzuka asks.
"Just call me Spider." The fat vandal now known as Spider replies. "I still don't know who you are though."
"I'm Suzuka, and that's Spe." Suzuka says. "We're friends of Taiki-9."
"Wait... Who?" Spider asks. "I swear that sounds familiar..."
"He's an exo, lost a friend in the prison of elders, wants revenge?" Spe-7 asks, and suddenly the Spider realizes just who they're talking about.
"Oh ho ho! You must mean the guardian that came here with Petra!" Spider chuckles. "You two close or something?" He asks Suzuka. "I know what he's after."
"And we do as well. He wants Uldren Sov's head." Suzuka replies.
"Oh he wants much more than just that, you know?" Spider asks. "You two must be fairly new at this. Don't lie, I can tell." He adds, pointing out the fact that Spe-7 has her weapon out at the ready. "But don't worry, I won't do anything to you so long as you don't do anything to us." And with that Spe-7 puts away her weapon. "On top of that, he's not just going after Uldren. There were people who helped him."
"Who were they? We jumped into the prison after we lost contact with Taiki." Spe-7 asks.
"They call themselves Scorn." The Spider replies. "They're the strange zombie like guys out there who either are missing a head or missing their minds." Spe-7 puts two and two together and realizes just what they're fighting against. "As we speak, your exo friend is already beginning to hunt them down so you came a little late to the party. You wouldn't happen to want to know where he is?"
"We don't want to interfere with his vendetta. He told us personally that we shouldn't follow him but we were worried." Suzuka says.
"And hey, I totally get that. If one of my subordinates suddenly branched off to pursue bloody murder I would be worried as well!" Spider replies. "I don't work that close with your vanguard but I'm willing to help as long as it helps me out as well. What do you say we make a deal?" Spe-7 looks at Suzuka warily.
"What are the terms?" Suzuka asks.
"As you might have been able to tell, there are criminals and scumbags of all kinds here on the shore. I'm trying to maintain peace here but with everyone fighting each other on top of the new Scorn threat that's... Hard." Spider explains. "So how about this? I'll keep tabs on your friend's location, even let you know who he's taken down so far, but until he feels satisfied you two can stick around on the shore and clear out these criminals."
"So... We basically become your enforcers until he's done?" Suzuka asks.
"Hey, I've lost quite a few associates to those trashheads." Spider replies. "The least I can do for my underlings is make sure they're okay."
"Then we have a deal." Suzuka says. "If it means we can make sure he's safe, we can at least do that."
"That's wonderful to hear." Spider replies. "Every now and then I do get bounties to go after some... VIPs. If these guys out there prove to be too easy for you I can give you a head to hunt, and you'll be paid handsomely." And with that Spe-7 and Suzuka receive cloaks to mask their identities and brand new weapons from the Spider's stash to keep law and order on the shore.
