Destiny 2: A Lost Soul

Chapter 20: Queen Of Chaos

When Spe-7 and Suzuka landed in the gulch, they were almost instantly met with a mountain of dead legionaries and phalanxes. A separate, but smaller pile of psions is also found and the two guardians look at one another with confusion.

"Huh, is this another guardian?" Spe-7 asks.

"I have no idea." Suzuka replies. "The bodies do lead into that tunnel though... Have your gun ready."

"Okay!" Spe-7 says as she gets her gun out, occasionally spinning it to make sure it's ready. When the two begin to move into the tunnels they notice some of the cabal that have gone into hiding, frightened out of their minds and shaking in their armor.

"Wow... Whoever came around must have really scared them silly." Suzuka mumbles as she merely points her gun in the direction of the cabal and they immediately throw their weapons up in the air in surrender, hands up as high as their armor will allow them. Nonetheless Suzuka still blows them away with her cabal gun, and the process is repeated as the two continue further down the tunnel. "How long does this go?"

"I think I see something up ahead... Maybe it's some sort of break area?" Spe-7 asks, and her suspicions are confirmed when they continue even further and find what appears to be some sort of building dug into the side of the tunnel with many dead cabal laying around. "Whoa..."

"Take this! You... Fat rhinos!" A voice shouts out, and Spe-7's ears perk up.

"Is that who I think it is?!" Spe-7 asks in amazement, and Suzuka also looks in surprise.

"Is it?!" Suzuka also asks as they begin running, and lo and behold the person responsible for the piles of cabal bodies reveals themselves. She sports long silver hair and her rosewood eyes scan out the area carefully. She must have been recently revived as she's only wearing a rugged red dress with white pants and matching boots. Sitting on her head is what appears to be a pair of headphones and a cap, and she appears to be using solar energy as the heels of her boots are aflame. Perhaps what is a dead giveaway is her horse ears and tail, and Spe-7's eyes light up.

"Gold Ship!" Spe-7 calls out, and the horsegirl immediately looks her way.

"Special Week?! Suzuka?! What are you doing here?! And what's with the armor?" Gold Ship asks. "Also who is this thing flying right next to me?"

"That's your ghost." Suzuka says. "It's what revived you and it can save you from death... If it can. Have you given it a name yet?"

"I was debating between "Silver" and "Queen"." Gold Ship replies, and Spe-7 immediately thinks of an old friend, Mejiro Mcqueen. "I think Silver is too cliche so I'll just go with Queen."

"I think I like that name." Gold Ship's ghost, Queen, replies.

"Then it's settled." Gold Ship chuckles. "Now, what are these guys I've been killing? Queen here says they're cabal."

"Oh when we get you back to where we are you'll learn a whole lot about what's happened." Spe-7 says, and then she hears the angry cry of a centurion. "And we might wanna get out of here soon... I think somebody's mad!"

"Who are you talking about?" Gold Ship asks, but then she sees the VERY angry gold plated centurion standing before them, very unhappy with the fact that the horsegirl just slaughtered an entire platoon of cabal and then some.

"THAT!" Spe-7 shouts as the centurion lets out a battle cry and shoots it's arm blade at them. "Run!" She yells again as the blade sticks into the ground next to Suzuka's feet and the trio bolt as it explodes.

"I haven't seen one of those guys since the red war!" Twinkle says. "It amazes me as to how much of the Red Legion has scattered since we beat Ghaul!"

"Now's not the time to look back on history! Either we kill this fat rhino or it's going to kill us!" Gold Ship shouts as she performs a 180 and charges at the centurion.

"Gold Ship! What are you doing?!" Spe-7 shouts, and Gold Ship proceeds to perform a powerful, solar charged drop kick, sending the centurion flying in an impressive fireball explosion, and it tumbles along the ground, dazed. "No way... You're a titan?!"

"A what?" Gold Ship asks, but the centurion proceeds to get back up, and it's eyes glow from fury as it creates another arm blade and charges at them.

"I don't think so! Eat THIS!" Spe-7 shouts as she conjures up an arc spear and starts slashing and stabbing at the gold plated cabal. It does it's best to try and evade but the equine hunter is too fast and she finishes it off by leaping high into the air and driving the spear straight through it's head, shish kabobing the cabal. Once the spear dissipates the centurion slumps to the ground, no longer able to fight, and Suzuka simply blasts the rest of it's head apart with her gun. "Now that we've taken care of this thing, let's get you back to the tower. You're going to need armor and weapons if you're going to last out here."

"Okay, then take me to this... Tower." Gold Ship replies.

"Sure thing!" Suzuka says as Twinkle and Fang call for their jumpships. "Hop in!" And with that Gold Ship hops in with Suzuka and the now trio of guardians heads off for the tower.
