"Look at that you three, you've really outdone yourselves this time around." Cayde chuckles as he finds himself looking at the traveler with Taiki, Spe-7 and Suzuka. Not very much had changed since they had taken out Ghaul, but their armor sure looked a lot different from how they first started- Taiki's armor sported a blue and silver color scheme and is very streamlined, and Spe-7 has followed a much similar scheme with her outfit but she has taken inspiration from Cayde's outfit, trading out the normal helmet for a mask and breather to keep her lungs strong and going for much lighter armor than Taiki to keep up her speed. Her boots have a much sharper heel that allows her to kick a hole through a steel plate.
"I know! We managed to kill a giant Vex mind and then we killed a Hive god!" Spe-7 says as she twirls her dagger around in her fingers.
"Make sure you don't cut yourself with that." Suzuka says as she summons a small ball of void energy and fiddles with it. She has taken some inspiration from Ikora but the warlock robes that she wears only fall down to her knees so she can keep running like she always has been. Much like Spe-7 she can kick a hole through steel but instead of a sharpened heel, Suzuka has traded it out for a retractable ankle blade that puts an edge to her already deadly whirlwind kicks.
"So... What do you three plan on doing at some point?" Cayde asks. "I mean there's not really much to do as of now, and gotta be frank I'm getting a little bored."
"Not sure really. I'm just waiting for the next big thing to happen." Taiki replies as he goes to adjust his antennae, but Suzuka quickly walks over and helps out. "Thank you but please be gentle... They're kinda sensitive."
"I'll try to be gentle." Suzuka says as she helps out the exo, and much to his chagrin Cayde begins snickering.
"What?" Taiki asks.
"I'm sorry! I just can't help it!" Cayde laughs. "Are you sure you two don't like each other or something?" Suzuka immediately leaps back and Taiki freezes up.
"Wha- what do you mean?" Taiki asks.
"Yeah! What made you think that?!" Suzuka also asks. It's then that the hunter vanguard finds himself rolling on the floor in laughter.
"Just spit it out one of you goddammit!" Cayde guffaws. "You're killing me with suspense here!"
"You keep that up Cayde and I might just put a hole in you." Taiki says jokingly.
"Oh, you wouldn't dare hurt a fellow exo like that would ya?" Cayde asks before Taiki slaps him on the back.
"Why would I hurt someone that knows how to make me laugh?" Taiki asks before the two burst out into laughter. It's then that a transmission comes in through Sundance, and the four go silent. "All right, what's going on?"
"This is Petra Venj, come in Cayde." A voice calls out. "I'm gonna need some help, there's a riot that's broken out in the prison of elders, and we need to curb it before it becomes a prison break."
"I've got three choices here. I've got our favorite punch-happy guardian, I've got a hunter and I've got a warlock, who do you want me to bring?" Cayde asks.
"We need someone who can pack a punch." Petra replies. "Meet me in the reef."
"You got it." Cayde says as he looks to Taiki. "Sorry girls but this is a classified mission. You'll have to watch the action through his ghost."
"Don't worry! We'll be fine!" Suzuka says as Taiki and Cayde hop into their jumpships and take off.
