'Here we go'

" Wake up Sirena! We'll be late sweetie." - an angelic voice called from the kitchen.

Mom, god ill miss her while im away at this new school, Hogwarts shall be my new home. Hogwarts, what awaits me?

Mum says that itll be nice, a nice change from what happened..

''Sweetheart?'' - mother interrupted my thoughts, i will definitely miss that.

''Coming mama!'' i shouted back.

I gathered my things and put them in the car, a forest green 3 door hatchback Rover 200, mother awaited me.

''So Sirena, what house do you think youll be in? '' mum asked excitedly.

I didn't give much thought to it myself.

Hufflepuff? Slytherin?

''I dont know really, wasnt dad a Gryffindor? Maybe it runs in the family?'' i jokingly asked.

''Maybe'' she replied with a smile.

Speaking of dad,my compact was glowing, i have a silver compact mirror that is bewitched so i can see and talk to dad.

"Hey daddy!" i say excitedly.

"Hey princess!"

"I miss you! Mum and i are off to Kings Cross and im nervous.." my voice trailed off.

"Dont be nervous princess, Hogwarts is a great school and youll have many friends! Thats where i met your uncle Remus! I had loads of fun at Hogwarts with my mates!" he tried to sound enthusiastic, but i know talking about his mates makes him upset... poor james and peter...

Mum turned my wrist so she could see dad, "Yea yea Sirius we all know about you and your mates shenanigans.'' she added laughing.

''Mum! eyes on the road! Anyway dad, i dont know what house ill be put in.. werent you a-''

Dad cut me off, "A Gryffindor! Yes! Lost many -a house points in my day!'' he admitted.

"Sirius Black dont encourage our daughter to break school rules!'' Mum shouted playfully.

"I wasnt!!'' dad defended himself, ''Definitely dont find the kitchens' painting and tickle the pair to get late night snacks''

"Sirius!!" mum shouted.

"ok ok ok, baby let me know how it goes settling in ok?''

''Of course dad! i will, I love you daddy!''

"Love you Sirius!" mum shouts.

"I love you too baby, I love you too Nabell-Lynn!''

i closed the compact and held onto the conversation, catch myself holding on to the smallest details.

I want to soak up all of it that i can before mum drops me off at kings cross.

I stared out the window as we arrived at kings cross.

~Here we go~ i thought to myself.

We step out into the crisp cold September air.

It felt good in my lungs.

The station was packed, loud chatter filled the air.

''Whats wrong Sirena?''she stopped and turned to me.

''Nothing i- im just going to miss you and dad is all.'' i admitted, a lone tear fell from my eye.

''oh baby itll be ok! I promise!'' she said as she kissed my cheek. ''Now, lets find platform 9 3/4.''
