Wifi

"You'll spend Christmas here." It's 8 in the morning and we're already here at my sister's atelier. She wanted to have gowns made for a party she's organizing next week.  

"Yes, ate." Tipid ko lang na sagot. Mag-isa na namang magpapasko ang nanay ko. 

From Julia Iluestre:

"11 PM, later. Vance and I will pick you up." It's Maggie's birthday today and she rented a bar to celebrate. 

To Julia Iluestre:

"Geh geh geh." 

"My god, her daughter's using fake bags now? They literally rat-poor. I heard she also dropped because they can't pay for her tuition anymore." My sister's friend said to her as she showed her a photo. 

"Well that's what they get for leaving the league," Ate answered back. By hearing the word league, I was already aware that they are referring to the so-called 'family business'. 

"Don't be surprised if her husband becomes missing in a few days. They've lost all sense of rationality." Another friend of hers even added. Hindi ko naman masisisi ang tinutukoy nila dahil kung ako rin ang masusunod ay ayaw ko ng ganitong buhay. Mas gugustuhin ko pang maghirap kaysa naman ang mabuhay sa karangyaan kasabay ang konsensya ng pagsira sa buhay ng maraming tao. 

After dreadful hours of being with my sister, I was finally given the opportunity to go home. I was in the middle of playing ML when we lost our internet connection. 

"Ampota!" Sambit ko nang madisconnect. Nakakapikon!

"Ma! Walang wifi!" Putris!

"Tawagan mo ang customer service." Utos ni mommy. I sighed in annoyance. Ganito na lang lagi ang internet namin. Nakakainis! Nagbayad ba ako nito para mairita? 

"Hello, ma'am how may I help you?" Maligayang tanong ng nasa kabilang linya. 

"Hi, we don't have an internet connection. Can it be fixed right away?" Kalmado kong sabi. 

"Let me do my best to help you ma'am. I already filed a request for it to be fixed. Expect it within 24 hours." Taragis talaga ha. 

Matapos kong magpasalamat ay agad na akong pumunta ng tindahan para magpaload. Nakapostpaid plan naman ako kaya nga lang, hindi ko pa iyon nababayaran dahil nawala sa isip ko. Naalala ko na lang talaga kapag kailangan ko na. Bwisit. 

I turned my data on and my notifications popped. Most of them are group chats, wala naman akong boyfriend, ano pa bang aasahan ko hindi ba. 

Pagkauwi ko sa bahay ay nakipaglaro na lang ako sa aso namin sa sobrang kabagutan. Nawalan na rin ako ng gana maglaro, nairita na si Ramuel sa'kin dahil nawala ako in the middle of the game, malamang sa malamang naghanap na ng ibang kalaro 'yun.
