Azriel was walking to the giant river house. It was his turn to babysit Nyx while Feyre and Rhys took care of some problem in the hewn city. It had been 3 months since Nyx was born and the boy was already showing incredible magical abilities. Tho he supposed he should not be surprised he was after all the son of the most powerful high lord and the first high lady. The boy had already winnowed, luckily only short distances and no further than Valares. scene Amren was in the hewn city, Mor of in Vallahen somewhere and Cassian and Nesta doing god knows what in the house of wind only he and Elain were left to babysit Nyx. Az had tried everything to get out of babysitting with Elain but as both, his high lord and lady said Elain could not follow Nyx if he decided to winnow somewhere again. So there he was heading into the river house. He had not spoken to Elain since solstice when Rhys warned him off. He had been angry than not understanding why life had such a cruel sense of humor but now he was over it or as over it as he could be Elain was the first girl he had feelings for after Mor and it hurt a lot releasing Rhys was right that being with Elain would only hurt both of them and open wounds that were not yet healed. The river house was a house in name only it was a giant estate a mansion really. So Azriel walks in dreading the hours ahead. These months he has found himself looking forward to the valkyrie training Nesta and Cassian managed to drag him into and the training provided a needed reprieve from Cassiens and Nesta's mating rituals. so Azriel went to babysit.
