Gwyn made her way back down to the library passing through the house of wind as fast as possible and hoping not to overhear Nesta and Cassian's nighttime activities. She avoided going through any of the larger rooms since she had walked in on them in the kitchen right after training when they'd been shooting heated glances at each other all morning they had not even noticed Gwyn so mortified she had just turned around and left. Now Gwyn grimaced remembering the day. She was happy for Nesta she deserved this and so did Cassian but did they really have to do that all day every day? and sometimes Gwyn couldn't help the peng of jealousy in her chest after the war and what happened to her she thought she would never be able to want something like that but Emire and Nesta had brought her back to life and though she would never fully recover she found herself ready to leave the library and maybe even explore that side of herself. She had never been able to do so before she grew up at the temple and barely talked to males let alone start a relationship. She reached the library deep in thought going to her rooms and picking up a romance novel when there was a knock on her door. Gwyn had thought everybody would be asleep by now, in the library everybody went to sleep early science they woke up so early in the morning to work. Many of the pristesis were plagued by nightmares so she thought it was one of them needing some comfort after the horrors they'd seen so she put aside her book and said in a gentle calm voice
-come in.
the door opened and to her surprise, Clotho stepped in as always her hood covered her face but she was holding a small box In her hands.
-are you alright? what is that?
asked Gwyn with a smile. she and Cloth weren't exactly best friends but they had comforted each other more than once after a panic attack or a particularly bad nightmare. Clotho wrote in her notebook with her enchanted pen. -I am fine. thank you for asking. this is for you it came for solstice but I forgot to give it to you. she handed the box to Gwyn. She took it and gingerly opened it. Inside the box was a necklace more beautiful and more expansive than anything she ever owned. She ran her fingers over the beautiful necklace an expression of awe written on her face. The colors matched perfectly with her valkyrie wristband as if it was made for her.
-who? who is it from? she stammered out Clotho wrote -from a friend and walked out before Gwyn could say anything, she put the necklace on and went to sleep wondering who it was from she didn't have a single nightmare.
