Music and roaring echoed off the mountain's many stone walls. Idril stood with her feet planted firmly on the rocks, her hair standing on end with electric energy and fierce concentration. Ceaser had just spiraled out of the sky, upping their chances by a lot. His teeth, claws and fire were dangerous weapons and extremely good assets.

As she chanted the words to her water spell, which would call down the moisture in the clouds to slow the giant's progress, she watched her friends, ready to spring into action whenever the time was right.

Ember was darting between a safe spot where she could blast fire and many more unsafe locations where she would stab and slash the giant's legs. She was fast and agile, jumping over or ducking under the swinging spear, but Idril feared she may tire quickly.

Mayabelle was doing well, but had been smashed into the rocks before Ceaser had hurtled down. Idril was tempted to jump in then, but she knew this spell, which would take some time, would help immensely.

To her surprise, the gnome had flung herself at the giant's now stumbling feet and had driven her staff clean and true straight into the monster's ankle. He bellowed in pain and stumbled back just as the last words to Idril's spell rang out.

She leaped off the rocky podium and charged into battle, swinging her guitar over her head. She dodged a waterlogged foot and scooped Mayabelle out of harms way just as the spear came crashing down right where they had been. A fireball sailed over their heads as they stood again.

A wail arose from Ember, a horrible pained howl. The spear had caught her tail, pinning her by it to a stony crevice behind her.

Idril and Mayabelle turned to see their flaming friend, coated in blood and waling in agony.

They glanced up just in time to see the giant get a good hold of Ceaser and fling him to one side. Raising his spear, he started towards Ember, a horrible grin on his face.
