RICHIE'S POV
I wave at the limo before I close my door.
I push my back against the door. I feel like a love sick teenager. Well, I've always been a love sick idiot.
I practically avoided any romantic relationship for my whole life because of Eddie. I was still head over heels for Eddie even after moving away.
If I have a crush on someone that wasn't Eddie it'd be like I was cheating on him. Even though I wasn't because we weren't even in a relationship.
FLASHBACK
"Hi Rich! Can we talk." My friend, Connor, asks.
"Yeah, what about?" Connor pulls me to a private area. He looked nervous.
"I..." Connor breaks eye contact, "I like you, okay? I really fucking like you." Connor quickly says.
I stared at him in shock. No one has ever said something like this to me. I could say that I do too, but... I don't.
There's nothing wrong with Connor, he's honestly perfect. He's funny, cute, smart, nice, he's great. But, it wasn't right.
"I-I'm sorry Connor. I think you're great, but I don't really want a relationship." Seeing Connor's face fall made my heart break.
"Oh..." Connor frowns.
"Can we just stay friends? I'm sorry." I apologize again.
"Yeah... Yeah, we can stay friends." Connor attempts to smile, but I knew it was fake.

I've always had Eddie in my mind. He's always the first person I think of.
