Dahee was more than shocked to hear Song Hyejin's voice through the other end of the line, she was extremely, utterly, dumbfoundedly flabbergasted. She had no idea she even knew her number nor did she think they were on speaking terms, wait a minute "Why are you calling me?"

Hyejin was taken aback by this response, not even a 'how are you?" or 'wow it's been so long' but a "Why am I calling you? You couldn't even small talk me a little bit, jeez I knew you were a bitch but I thought you had a little bit more manners than that." Hyejin spat out which was what Dahee recalled her being always blunt, assertive, strong but never mean. Being called a bitch was mean of her but she didn't think she was undeserving of it.

Apologizing to Hyejin, Dahee then spoke up "So how have you been? It's been what, three years?"

"Almost four actually but great for you to keep count." Hyejin could never keep her sarcasm at bay but at least she tried to in this case "Anyway, I hear you're in the art collection business, been racking up Reyna's pieces now have you." Dahee was once again surprised that Hyejin knew this information, not that her buying Reyna's pieces were suppose to be a secret but she didn't know Hyejin would keep tabs on them, let alone even care to find out. "Yes, but they're for my father, you know how she was his favorite." Dahee chuckled awkwardly and so did Hyejin. Adding on "I've bought some of your pieces as well." To minimize the awkwardness wo which Hyejin thanked her for.

A few more awkward silence later, Hyejin spoke first "Listen, I know lots of things happened in the past but I for one forgive you, there's no point resenting you forever for what you did and I called you hoping you would take up a chance to make it up to me." Which was the truth. Hyejin forgave Dahee for the stupid things she did to her and her family but of course she couldn't forgiver her for all the mistakes she did, it just simply wasn't her place.

As expected, Dahee replied with "Anything." And so Hyejin explained the project she was working on, sharing the same details she said to Rachel. Hyejin needed Dahee for her editing skills, it's not that she didn't have other editors to call but she wanted this to be a redemption project for her and her friends and to get all of them in the same room. Hyejin added this small detail to Dahee and wanted more than anything to have them back in her life too, only problem was "Would Reyna be willing to work with me?" To which Hyejin reacted to by slowly and unsurely saying how she'll handle Reyna as long as Dahee says yes to her offer and quote unquote "try not to be a defensive bitch when you see her cause Reyna will surely attack your skinny ass."

After more convincing and catching up, to which they both really enjoyed and didn't know they needed until that moment, Hyejin said her goodbye reminding Dahee of the early morning sun threatening to rise on her side of the world apologizing for not thinking about the time difference sooner. Dahee told her it was no problem and reminded her that New York is the city that never sleeps and she didn't feel like sleeping at all yet either.

Dahee wanted to talk to Hyejin more and tell her all about the past- almost four- years that they hadn't been in contact with each other. She wanted to tell her how sorry she was and if she could turn back time she'd never have done what she did. She wanted to cry and laugh and talk about boys and each of their work, she wanted everything she could've had back then, she wanted her best friends back. But Dahee knew Hyejin had to leave, she needed to rest up because the next day Hyejin had to convince Reyna to say yes, and that was gonna take her a whole lot of energy.

At 5 A.M. the next morning, Hyejin carried her carry on out the door and into the cab that was to bring her to the airport. Today she was gonna visit Reyna and convince her to join the project. It was a known fact that Reyna was choosey when it came to the projects and shoots she had to do, she didn't like having a heavy schedule nor did she like working with so many people. One was enough and two was always more than she bargained for. That was the reason she didn't do editorial or commercial shoots because she didn't like being around people, people made things complicated, and people turned good things into bad ones in a snap of a finger. Hyejin knew all this which is why she had to fly nearly 7,000 miles just to beg her and possibly get rejected upon her arrival.
