Two days before the gala, the BTS boys along with Reyna and Rachel, went out for unlimited samgyupsal to celebrate the end of comeback season and the start of their three month break. At the restaurant, Namjoon had asked Reyna to accompany him to the ball, she and Rachel had been added to their closest friends list and wanted them to be at the gala. She said yes. Rachel expectantly looked at Jimi hoping he would personally invite her too. It had been weeks after he confessed but there still hadn't been much progress since he had a busy schedule and they only texted back and forth a few times, Rachel's mind not completely made up. And maybe that was the reason he hesitated to ask her, actually didn't ask her at all. The boys already knew he had confessed and that nothing happened yet but Namjoon asked Reyna so that Jimin could ask Rachel, that was the whole point of tonight but Jimin didn't seem to get the moment. A few moments of silence, all of them expectantly looking at Jimin, was broken when from beside Rachel, Taehyung had asked her to be his date to which she said yes with a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes.
The two girls were getting ready in Reyna's bedroom. At first, Rachel wasn't used to the modestly sized house, Reyna's entire house was as big as Rachel's garden shed at her parent's house (which was more like it's own house than a shed). It took some getting used but Rachel had fallen in love with the simplicity of it all, paying rent to stay so she didn't feel like a burden to them. The welcomed guest laid all her tools on the owner's bed, makeup brushes, extensions and lashes, curling rods and a hairdryer, and a variety of makeup sprawled out waiting to be played with.
Rachel volunteered to get them both dresses and to style them both up since it was more her thing than Reyna's. If the latter got to choose she'd go in wearing her prom dress from high school almost bare faced only wearing lipstick and maybe a shimmery eyeshadow almost making Rachel faint at the mere thought of it. So the fashion forward girl had gotten dresses from her mother's house, all chic and fabulous and so not 2015. Choosing a blush pink, deep v plunging neckline, with embroidered flowers starting at the bottom of her breasts trickling downward to mid about mid-thigh, the fabric was lace on top and tulle at the bottom looking like a cherry blossom in the Winter season for herself. For Reyna she chose a red, off the shoulder lone sleeve dress with a same colored fabric wrapper around her waist to accentuate her figure. Simple but elegant, it was Reyna's style indeed. Rachel put neutral makeup on both of them changing the lip color, a dark wine red for Reyna and a burnt mauve pink for herself, adding glitters to her eyes to make them pop. She wanted them on Reyna too but she refused keeping her eyes matte which complimented her over all look.
