When Rachel ran after Reyna, she didn't expect her to run off with the horses, literally. She headed straight for the stables, camera in hand, cheeks streaked with tears, yelling over her shoulder to not come after her. There was no point in getting her to talk when she was like this, she had always been sensitive and extremely stubborn.
Rachel sighed holding back her hair, trying to catch her breath. She looked at the retreating figure, getting tinier and tinier until she couldn't strain her eyes any longer looking for Reyna in the distance. The estate was extremely massive with a lake and a forest as a backyard, she didn't think Reyna would do anything to hurt herself or the horse, but Rachel still couldn't help herself from worrying about her.
She walked back into the main house where the boys were left with Hyejin and Dahee, unsurprisingly hearing yells coming from the dining hall. What Rachel walked into was a common scene viewers would be familiar with in missis versus mistress plot lines, Hyejin the missis, Dahee the mistress, and the boys trying and failing to keep the peace.
Jin, Jimin, and Taehyung were holding back Hyejin by her waist and legs, Jin being the wall that kept Hyejin from scratching Dahee's eyes out that were currently shedding tears. Namjoon, Hobi, and Yoongi created a protective barrier around Dahee, facing away from her as they blocked her from Hyejin's wrath. Jungkook was still seated, eyes wide open, and mouth agape not knowing what to do and close to tears himself.
"언니들! (older sisters)" Rachel yelled loud enough to get their attention. Glaring at Dahee's weeping face since 'a) she didn't have the right to cry and b) she shouldn't be making me feel bad for her when all this fighting was her fault' Rachel thought. She grabbed a napkin off the table and flung it at her, seeing she caught it through her peripheral vision, as Rachel walked over to Hyejin, with a solemn smile reporting that Reyna galloped off on a horse which aggravated Hyejin even more, leading her to start cussing Dahee out again.
"God I was so stupid, I shouldn't have invited you here, now Reyna went all Gone With the Wind and took the fucking horse." Hyejin had been screaming in English causing most of the boys to be completely confused but upon hearing the f-word they knew what she was saying was no good.
Rachel just sat beside Jungkook plopping a grape in her mouth off the table, telling him this was gonna take awhile before Hyejin stopped, his huge eyes got even wider and munched on the grapes along with her.
The pair watched on as Dahee retaliated for the first time, stepping in front of the barrier made of older bangtan boys, she said "I thought you said you forgave me! Now you attack me like this? For what entering the dining hall when you were all here?" Dahee was getting angry but at least she started sounding like how she did before. No more of the low voice, soft tone, slow speech she had been doing before.
They could all see fire in Hyejin's eyes and no amount of Jin pushing her back or Jimin and Taehyung holding her legs stopped her from charging right up to Dahee's face, just half a foot away, burning holes in the other's eye before she spoke with more sadness than imagined "For him over us." Hate was definitely still clear in Hyejin's eyes but there was also regret and devastation, something Rachel had felt often when thinking about how and when things took a wrong turn for the worse.
Dahee kept her eye contact with Hyejin but the tears poured out of them, unstopping, full of hurt and pain, she was exhausted. She didn't wanna fight anymore and knew she couldn't beat Hyejin when it came to Reyna but even if Reyna wouldn't give her a chance, she needed to prove to Hyejin that she deserved one. Winning over Hyejin would be a step closer to Reyna forgiving her for what she did which is why she didn't break eye contact even though everyone in the room could all tell she wanted this contest to be over. And Hyejin granted that wish. Breaking away and walking out of the room not sparing another glance at Dahee.
