i sat up , gasped and pressed the notification quickly. my eyes scanned the post quickly and my jaw dropped. it was a flyer reading,

"hang out with billie eilish for a week!! enter the contest to win! dates: march 28th - april 3rd 2021"

my hands immediately started to shake and i clicked the new link in her bio.

i clicked the notification again, my free hand over my mouth in shock as i screamed.

her beautiful face popped up on my screen. "hi my loves, im doing a special spring break contest. i miss you all and i know you've been asking for it so, click in the link in my bio and apply. oh and it's 18-21 only!! mwah i love you, good luck!"

ding. ding. ding. ding. a bunch of notifications rang in from my friends screaming and freaking out.

i swiped up on all the notifications and tried to breathe.

i went back to the link, my thigh shaking anxiously. the timer at the top of the website had 15 minutes left. why is it timed?

i immediately started filling out the questionnaire.

i blinked at the last question and looked around my college dorm. i spotted my jacket in the corner and snatched my wallet out. i got my id, stood in front of my window for lighting and snapped a picture.

wait... what if this is a scam and they steal my identity? welp, it's for billie.

i uploaded the photo and finished up the questionnaire. afterwards i responded to my messages and posted that i had signed up. the fact that spring break is in two weeks is what drives me crazy.

there's no way i could win, hundreds of thousands of people probably applied. i don't even have the money for a flight to california. what if my spring break dates are different? i sighed and facetimed my best friend and fellow billie stan, ash.

ash is the best person i know. she's from malibu originally but moved to the city in middle school when her dad got a new job position. she's also the richest person i know. she lives in a penthouse in the middle of manhattan and owns everything you could think of.

she studies at yale and she hates it. she didn't have a choice though because her dad paid for her to get in. she's meant to take over her family firm that her mom owns. she doesn't want any of it.

"bitch." we said at the same time. "im so scared i literally just applied for it and im gonna pass out im so scared." i started rambling. "i know oh my gosh i applied too, one of us better get it." she said, taking a sip of her iced coffee.

"i sat here and cried for a good ten minutes." she said and we busted out laughing. "i couldn't stop shaking but i hope the pic with me and my id was good enough, they're lucky my hair is done." i said, tossing my body on my bed.

"girl you look good, my hair is a mess. i haven't showered in like 3 days." she said, hitting her vape. "college is kicking my ass." she sighed. "same here, i haven't slept in days. who would've known it was this hard." she nodded.

"anyways, let me go. i have a class in 10 minutes and i gotta start walking. i should've just been a stripper." she said we both laughed. "okay bye ash, i love youuu." i said and she said it back. we hung up and i stared out my window wondering how billie always manages to blow my mind.
