ameera
i sighed, looking in the mirror. what the fuck am i gonna do with my hair? i looked around the bathroom and eyed the hair products that were not meant for my hair. yea there's absolutely no way. i threw on a hat and checked the clock. why am i always up at 6 am?
i went on google maps and looked for the closest target. i went into billie's jacket and took out $100. i should probably tell her, but then again i am buying everyone food. i shrugged, stressed out about how broke i am. i really need to talk to my mom.
i ordered an uber to target and made the fastest target run of my life, grabbing hair products and a couple pieces of lingerie that were really cute to say they were from target. i went next door to the starbucks and bought four venti iced coffees, three venti cups of oat milk and a bunch of pastries.
"thank you so much," i smiled at the girl and she cocked her head to the side. "hey, aren't you the girl that won billie eilish's contest?" she asked and i smiled, nodding. "yeah, i am," i looked down at my phone and of course, billie was calling.
i raised my phone to show her and excuse myself, grabbing all of my things and leaving with a, "have a good one!"
"i realized that i wasn't sweating in my sleep and so i woke up." she said in her low, groggy morning voice. i giggled, "i went to target to pick up some things, im heading back home now."
"how are you getting back?" she asked, the sheets shuffling in the background. "i took an uber here so im gonna take the bus back and walk down the path."
"ameera.... absolutely not." she deadpanned and i rolled my eyes, waiting at the bus stop. "baby, im from new york. i know how to do this." i said and she stayed persistent. "why didn't you wake me up to come with you?" her voice softened and my heart melted.
"i didn't wanna disturb you. and you can't necessarily walk into target babe." she sighed. "i forgot. you always make me forget." she murmured and i smiled softly.
"well i got the whole fam breakfast," i said and she hummed in approval. "i'll text them so no one else orders food."
"okay love, the bus is here. i'll be back soon."
"bye, be safe." she said and hung up and i pulled out my card and swiped it before getting on.
i actually hated every second of this but i didn't want to spend anymore on an uber. and just because im dating a rich girl doesn't mean im rich. im just here along for the ride. instead, i just take money out of her pocket like a damn thief.
when i got back to the house, i was spent. the walk up the path was a killer and way longer than it seems when you're in a car. i unlocked the door and found billie's family sitting on the couch talking loudly.
"hi everyone," i smiled and billie jumped up. "hi baby," she sang and danced over to me, taking the things out of my hand. "i brought a bunch of stuff so everyone can just make their own coffee how they like it." i said and maggie made a noise.
"that's so smart, i would've never thought to do it like this." she commented and i smiled, loving the validation from her. "thank you,"
finneas walked up to me and hugged me before walking into the kitchen wordlessly. i grabbed billie's wrist before she could walk into the kitchen and she looked down at me. "all this love is gonna make me cry," i half joked and she cracked a smile.
"welcome to the family, baby."
my heart, my actual heart. i sat at the counter and watched everyone make their own coffee and microwave the pastries. billie walked over to me, sliding a plate with a couple cut up pastries. "eat," is all she said and walked back to the little coffee station they created.
