"You know I still don't think we can trust her." Lucas had been mentally debating bringing it up again since Opal had entered the bathroom. He was currently leaning against the bathroom door, concern written across his face.

"That's because you're bad at reading people." Opal replied dryly through the door, not in the mood to deal with his bad judgment.

"I'm an excellent judge of character." Lucas defended quickly, vulnerability dripping from his voice.

"Sure." Opal refused to play into his ego, no matter how bad she might have felt at times.

"Look all I'm saying is I have a gut feeling something is off here. You did always used to say I have to trust those."

"That was a long time ago. Besides, don't you trust me to take care of myself?" Opal joked, knowing she'd never get a serious response from the arrogant boy strode on the other side of the door.

"Absolutely not. You're terrible agent who trusts too easy." Lucas bit back, clearly still annoyed at her previous jabs.

"Well I did trust you."

"Funny." He sneered.

"I'm glad you think so. Now do I look party appropriate?" Lucas' gaze fell on the girl as he heard the door softly click open.  Opal had to admit she felt slightly insecure, she wasn't used to dressing up and going out.

"You look.. decent. I suppose for someone who looks like that it's a nice change.

"Lukie, be serious this is purely business, I don't want to effect the mission just because of my lack of a party life."

"It'll work, stop panicking. I guess, to some people, you may look nice." Opal smiled slightly at his words, that was the closest thing to a compliant Lucas has said in a while.

"Thank you."

"Right, well Blair will be over any minute, you have your earpiece right?" Lucas quickly changed the subject, avoiding the warm feeling the two had just shared.

"All ready to have your annoying little voice in my ear all night."

"That's not what you used to say. I remember something about how much you loved it in the morning."

"Maybe the stench of your breath messed with my brain." Opal teased, slipping on her small heels.

"I don't think that's the only thing it had an effect on."

"Saved by the bell." Opal chimed upon hearing a knock at the door. Glancing at herself one final time in the mirror, she walked out the bathroom.

"You look amazing!" Opal swung open the door to reveal Blair, excitement evident on her face. She was wearing a gorgeous green dress covered with bright sparkles. As each one hit the light it shone like an emerald, highlighting her curves. Opal had to admit she was a little jealous.

"Thank you, so do you of course!"

"So am I driving or are you?"
