"I really don't think you want to do this." Opal shouted from behind the stall door, which provided her little safety.

"Oh believe me I do." Opal recognised the voice but she couldn't quite place it.

She mentally prepared herself for the worse, before sliding off the attachable heels on her shoes, reducing them to cute flats perfect for combat. Before she worried it would blow her cover and suffered quietly despite the inevitable blisters but she had little care for that now. Reluctantly, she clicked the lock open, stepping out the stall.

"You." Opal gasped upon seeing her assailant.

"Me." She smirked at her deviously, one that mirrored the one she had displayed earlier, only this time there was something far more sinister in her eyes.

"But you're her friend, why now? I mean why ruin her birthday?"

"We're not friends. Romero hired me to watch over her, play the friend, let her think she has freedom."

"Romero?"

"What you honestly didn't think Romero would let his precious Blair go out alone?"

"Aww,  do I detect a hint of jealousy?"

"Romero is a good man, I respect him greatly, he'd be a lot better off without Blair tying herself down."

"He loves Blair, there's no stopping that."

"You looked so surprised when you saw it was me, tell me do I play my role that well? Maybe I should have been an actor." Liana replied, avoiding Opal's comment.

"Yes actually. You were my favourite Liana." Opal could admit she was in fact very surprised, if anyone she expected Ashley not the girl who had welcomed her with open arms.

"Well I'm sure I'd be flattered if you weren't an enemy agent." She replied her emerald eyes sparkling with mischief.

"I'm not the enemy agent, that's all you."

"It's all about perspective honey." She shrugged, Opal supposed she did have somewhat of a point.

"Your organisation is kidnapping innocent people." Opal scoffed, sure to some they were the enemy but they weren't ruthless  like the Elistas, they had a moral code.

"Innocent? You're agents aren't innocent, they are collateral damage in a war. Besides whose to say we have anything to do with that." Liana spat back in a harsh tone that in no way reflected the girl Opal had met earlier.

"This isn't a war, this is a tragedy."

"Well yes they often are."

"Look I'm far more skilled than you. Plus I'm sure my backup will be here any minute."

"Oh you mean your little fake fiancé who hates you."

"We don't hate each other." Liana just raised her eyebrow at her knowingly. "Okay well we do but we're both professionals."

"And how do you suppose he'll know you're in danger?"

"Telepathy?" Opal joked, knowing she wouldn't need backup.

"So to sum up, you're completely alone without any weapons?"

"Okay one, I don't need a guy to save me." Opal glared at her. "Two, I do have a weapon, me." She added punching her nose harshly.

"You bitch." Liana gasped, grunting in pain, reaching up to wipe away the blood oozing from her now broken nose.

"I get that a lot. Usually from people losing miserably."

"I'm not losing."

"Really? Who's the one bleeding profusely."

"You think you're so special don't you? Well guess what Opal, outside of your little circle you're nothing."

"Seems a bit obsessive Li."

"You'd love that wouldn't you. It would feed your main character syndrome perfectly."

"Problem is you're so arrogant you didn't either bother telling anyone I was here did you?"

"Why? So someone else can take the credit? I'll bring you in myself."

"Okay let's skip the talking and finish this." She thrusted her leg out quickly to swipe Liana's, effectively knocking her off her feet. Before she could get up she grabbed the girls shirt, lifting her up so she could punch her roughly in the head. Opal smiled when the girl's body hit the floor with a thud, her attempt to knock her out being successful.

"Hey Lucas, you there?" Upon hearing no response she came to the mortifying realisation she must have accidentally muted him rather than herself and that he had in fact heard her use the toilet.

"Hey buddy, muted you there didn't I?"

"You fucking idiot Opal do you have any idea of how many times I've tried to contact you."

"No harm, no foul Lukie, I'm fine."

"I don't care about that,  you could have blown the mission."

"But I didn't, she hadn't informed anyone from her agency."

"Okay whatever I'm nearly there now anyways."

"Are you okay." Lucas forced out after a few moments of silence.

"I'm fine, nothing to worry about my dear fiancé."

"Fuck, what the hell was that." Opal hissed in pain as something stabbed into her arm.

"What happened Opal?" Lucas questioned upon hearing her gasp in pain.

"What did you just do?" She turned round to face a now conscious Liana, a now empty needle in her hand.

"What do you think? Our agency's own special creation." Liana replied proudly.

Opal took the moment of distraction to jab the girl in the stomach, causing her to double over in pain. Once again she punched her in the face, knocking her out. This time, having learnt from her mistakes she used hair ties in her bag to tie the girl up.

Opals limbs suddenly began to feel heavy, stumbling back towards the wall, sliding down it slowly.

"Wow what happened to you?" Opal forced her eyes to see Lucas now standing in at the entrance of the toilet.

"I got drugged what the hell do you think?"

"Don't get sassy with me I'm the one who is going to have to carry you now."

"I don't need you, I just- I'm." Opal cut herself off, finally succumbing to the drugs coursing through her body.

"Well at least she finally shut up."

Bit of a filler I suppose but it is quite essential to the story. Hope you enjoyed the surprise. Full confession, this is not exactly how it was going to go but I couldn't miss a good betrayal. As always thanks for reading!
