Chapter 11

That afternoon, after class, the trio decided to meet at Luca's house, his apartment being the closest. Eli was the first to arrive and Naib followed about ten minutes later. Luca welcomed them both inside with a smile. It was a bit of a mess inside, with strange devices lying around. The male quickly pushed his mess aside to make room for his two friends. He then sat down on the floor in front of the small table.

Naib came and sat down next to him, taking off his hood and Eli did the same. However, the blue-eyed boy noticed something sticking out from under the table. He bent down a little and took the object in his hands, a beige scarf. He tilted his head slightly, it certainly didn't belong to Luca because he was barely covering himself despite the cold weather. Luca noticed the scarf Eli was holding and suddenly took it from his hands.

"Ah !" he exclaimed.

"Is this yours ?" asked Naib.

"No, it's Norton's."

The other two men couldn't believe their ears, Norton ? When did the two of them get so close that one would come to the other's house like this ? Luca put the scarf away in a corner before returning to his seat. He was a little surprised when he saw two pairs of eyes staring at him intensely.

"Hey, why are you looking at me like, that you're gonna make me blush ~"

"Since when are you and Norton buddies ?" grumbled Naib.

"Hm ? Didn't I tell you ? We're dating." he affirmed.

"W-what !?" almost shouted Eli.

"I must have forgotten ?"

The young man laughed as if nothing happened. How could he forget such an important detail ? But more importantly, how and since when ? His two friends couldn't believe it, but unlike Naib, Eli knew that the two of them had grown closer, however he didn't think they had ever gotten that far in their relationship. Eli managed to get Aesop to consider him a friend not so long ago and they were already dating ? That was just amazing.

"Anyway, enough about me, what about you and Aesop, Eli ?"

"L-Luca !"

Eli brought both his hands to Luca's mouth to silence him, he didn't want Naib to know about his feelings for Aesop. Why ? He didn't know, but he could see that the latter often gave Aesop dark looks. Maybe they didn't like each other very much ? Luca shifted to avoid Eli's attack and then stood up on his own two legs.

"Honestly Eli, do you really think you're hiding this well ?" said Luca sarcastically.

"W-what are you talking about ?" he replied, blushing.

"I was saying, who didn't notice how you were giving Aesop longing looks ? Right Naib ?"

Luca turned to Naib as he said this. The latter said nothing and just looked away, staring at the wall next to him. But this gesture was enough to prove to Eli that his friend was right. He then sat down properly, sighing. So everyone, except Aesop himself, knew ? He even wondered how it was possible that he didn't even realize it. Luca stood next to him and patted him on the shoulder.

"So, where are things at ?" resumed Luca with a smile.

"There's not much to tell..."

"Really ? You've been to his house lately, right ? Nothing happened ?"

At these words, Eli remembered the incident in the bathroom. His cheeks immediately turned pink as he thought about it and Luca had noticed. He was about to tease him with a remark when Naib suddenly stood up. The two boys looked at him curiously. The latter pulled his hood back over his head and walked towards the entrance of the apartment.

"You're leaving already ?" asked Luca.

"Training tomorrow morning." he said.

"Oh, good luck then !"

Luca got up to walk him outside while Eli remained on the floor, finding Naib's departure a bit abrupt. The young man was quite diligent in his club and he heard rumors that a professional coach might be considering recruiting him. After Naib's departure, Eli and Luca stayed to chat for a while, sometimes giving Eli a love tip or two.
