A few weeks passed after Eli and Aesop started dating. The two of them were almost always glued to each other and Eli would often visit Aesop at his house and frequently sleep there as well. They spent most of their time during the weekends staying in bed and cuddling all day long.

Yet, despite all of this, they still hadn't done it. The contacts they exchanged stopped at passionate kisses although Eli would sometimes slip his hand under Aesop's sweater to caress his abdomen. The young man with the gray eyes could not help blushing furiously every time his boyfriend did that.

Almost two months had passed and one of the most awaited events of the year was coming, Christmas. Eli had already taken the trouble to tell Aesop to reserve the whole day for him, which he did not refuse. He wanted to make it a special day that they would remember as it was their first Christmas Eve together.

Eli had done a lot of research for his preparations, like the most popular places for couples without being too crowded because he knew that his partner wouldn't be able to enjoy it otherwise. He had also reserved a table in a restaurant whose atmosphere seemed warm and elegant.

Everything was done and only one thing was missing, the gift. What could he give him ? Aesop had already given him a wonderful handmade present for his birthday and he wanted his gift to be on the same level as his. But nothing came to mind. Flowers, sweets ? Both ? No. It was too classic and common. He wanted something unique and original.

After a few more thoughts, he finally decided what to get him. He wasn't sure if it was really the right choice, maybe he had gone too fast in choosing this ? However, he had already bought it and there was no turning back now. He put the little box on his desk and wrapped it delicately before putting a ribbon around it to finish.

Eventually, New Year's Eve arrived. The two men had made an appointment to meet at the station near Aesop's house around 6pm. Aesop was the first to arrive and Eli didn't take long either. Aesop wore a white wool sweater and a long black coat while Eli was dressed in a navy blue turtleneck and a beige trench coat, of course, he also had the scarf that his lover had given him.

After complimenting each other on their appearance, the two set out to spend time together. On this special day, Eli was the one in charge of leading. Their first destination was the restaurant where he had made reservations. A candlelit dinner with a romantic ambiance. They enjoyed their meal quietly, exchanging sweet nothings and talking about anything and everything during the whole dinner.

It must have been around 8pm when they left. It was already dark and the festive decorations illuminated the streets. Eli then took Aesop to a strange building, the white-haired male wondered where they could go as they climbed the stairs. After arriving at the top, Eli pushed the door to access what seemed to be the roof of a building.

He pulled his beloved's arm to get closer to the edge with him. From here, one could see the whole city, the lights flashing in all directions, the huge fir tree standing in the square. It was the best place to observe all these things. Eli then moved closer to Aesop to put his arms around him and place a kiss on his head.

"What do you think ?"

"I think you've put a lot of effort for tonight..."

"You haven't seen everything yet !" exclaimed Eli.

Aesop looked at him curiously as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small box in a red wrapper.

"Is this... for me ?" he asked.

"Who else ?" laughed Eli.

Aesop took the package from his hands and opened it carefully, inside was... a ring. He looked up at Eli, a little surprised. Did he realize what he had just given him or not ? The latter seemed to have understood what he was thinking because his face suddenly flushed.

"Ahh ! Don't get the wrong idea ! It's just an accessory ! I'm not asking for your hand ! At least not yet..." the last part of his sentence was inaudible...

"No need to panic about that, I have a gift for you too."

"O-oh ?"

"Close your eyes."

The blue-eyed boy complied though a little nervous. He felt Aesop put something on him and then back off. After getting his approval, he opened his eyes. His lover smiled and pointed to his ear. He was wearing a different piercing than earlier, he also felt that what Aesop had put on him was also one.

"There's an A on yours and an E on mine ~"

"Aesop..."

They exchanged a smile and then midnight approached... Fireworks burst in the night sky to announce Christmas Day and the two lovers sealed their lips with a kiss...
