i wake up in a sweat
a panic
i'm scared
for in my dreams, you were gone
and i was left alone
where? i couldn't tell you
it was dark, and it was raining
yet you were still gone
and i was still scared
but then i hear the words
"i'm here,
you're okay"
and i believe them
more than any other words
anyone else will ever tell me
