Chapter 26 🍂:: The day she left the world

It was the day of Yerin's surgery and Jun's piano competition.

Jun was sitting waiting for his turn to play. Miyoung walks over to him. "Hey! We are pianists. Whatever you are feeling now. Express it through the piano." His aunt tells him. He looks up at her and responds "Yeah..."

Few minutes later Jun walked up on stage and stared at the piano keys for a brief moment before playing the first notes. "I am here because I met you. I met you..." Jun tells himself. "You made my heart move a lot. It became sounds which overflowed me."

"My sound...will it reach you?" Jun asks himself. "It would be nice if it were to reach you." Sinb, Wonwoo and Umji were watching him from the audience. From the audience "This is Jun's love letter to Yerin." Wonwoo mutters to himself. "The words we exchanged, a little but of regret. The humming of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star", it always cheered me up." Jun reminds himself.

"When I'm inspired, I play...for you." "Next time I tell you, I am here. I will not leave you alone, like I could ever leave you alone." Jun plays the next few notes harder. "Reach her. Place everything I have. Reach her." Jun exclaims to himself. He then hears the sound of a violin playing next to him. He turns around to see his vision of Yerin playing next to him.

His vision of Yerin then turns around to face him and continues playing her violin. As Jun plays the following keys of his piano softer. Once and a while looking at Yerin. Later increasing the tempo of the song. Nearing the end of the song. Yerin puts her violin down and smiles at Jun one last time. Before a white flame overcomes her. Slowly causing his vision of Yerin to disappear. Jun realising his eyes turn red as he hits the last few notes. As soon as Jun hits the last key. Yerin disappeared.

"She...she's gone..."
