'I can't wait for tomorrow!' Lily yelled.
A few days had passed since Remus' hangover. Those days mostly consisted of studying in the library, pulling pranks and hanging out with friends.
'Me neither!' James joined in. He, Sirius, Peter, Lily, Marlene, Mary, Dorcas and Remus were going to Hogsmeade that Saturday. The rare occasion of the eight of them free on the same day barely took place, so of course, they had to make the best out of it.
'Yeah...'
'Why so grumpy, Remus?' Sirius asked.
'I'm not.' Remus responded.
'Oh, yeah, and my family cares about me.' Sirius grinned, sarcastically.
'Yeah, and I'm not in love wi-' James soon remembered the girls were in the same room as he, and quickly shut his mouth, 'Y'know, never mind.'
'There's nothing, I'm just tired.'
'Alright.' Sirius didn't quite believe him, but he also didn't want to push him, he himself hated it when people did that, forcing him to talk about his feelings.
Remus was happy when he heard that the four of them were going to Hogsmeade, but his whole mood changed when he heard that the girls were coming too. He liked them, but wasn't really looking forward to having girls around the entire time.
'We should get some sleep, we will leave early tomorrow.' James exclaimed, as he overheard Remus' and Sirius' conversation and was pretty tired himself.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'Are you excited, Moony?' Sirius padded him on the shoulder.
'Yes, very. It's been so long since I've been to Hogsmeade!' His mood changes too fast for his own liking, but he couldn't help it. He decided to just put the thought of the girls apart and have fun, also if it were only for just a few short moments.
'Yeah, me too.'
The group had to walk quite a while, but couldn't wait to wander the streets of Hogsmeade. Remus really wanted to go to Honeydukes and some other shops too. They would meet up at five o'clock in the Three Broomsticks.
James saw this short trip as a perfect opportunity to seduce Lily, he wanted to get her flowers and her favourite candy. Sirius, Peter and Remus always made fun of him for how desperately in love he was with her. But they all deep down hoped that they would get together, those two were made for each other.
'So, five o'clock was it?' Peter asked.
'Yes, five o'clock at the Three Broomsticks.'
'Alright, have fun you guys!' Lily walked away, accompanied by Mary and Dorcas. They were quickly followed by James. Peter, who was way too curious, decided to sneak up on them and see how everything was going.
'Well, I guess it's just us three then.' Marlene said, while looking at Sirius and Remus. 'Where do you guys want to go?'
'Er- I wanted to go to Honeydukes-' Said Remus
'Yeah, me too.' Sirius got closer to him. It came as a surprise that he wanted to go there too, Remus had never heard him talk about it.
'Alright, I was actually going to do some shopping for this winter, but I guess I could come with you to Honeydukes first, if you don't mind.'
'Yeah, no, sure you should come.' Remus said, but he wasn't nearly as excited as he'd sounded.
The three of them walked over to Honeydukes, which was filled with all kinds of wizards and witches. Remus had always enjoyed coming there, so he was thrilled to go inside.
He looked at all his favorite candy, with a huge smile on his face. But his smile slowly faded when he looked over at Marlene and Sirius.
Marlene was laughing at him and constantly touching his shoulder. Sirius seemed to enjoy the attention, which made Remus even more frustrated. When Sirius noticed Remus was watching them, he suddenly glowed red. He didn't laugh the way he laughed before.
Marlene apparently didn't catch the hint and just continued acting like that with him. She rested her hands on his shoulder and chest. Remus' body was filling up with anger. This was the exact reason he didn't want the girls to come.
He couldn't bear to watch it, so he put his basket down and immediately walked to the door of the shop and left.
'Remus? Where are you going?' Marlene asked him.
'I'm going for a walk.' He said, trying his best not to show any emotion. He himself didn't even know what he was feeling, and mostly why he was feeling it.
He couldn't control himself and looked back at the shop window. Marlene didn't stop herself from occupying him, but Sirius didn't seem to be in the mood for it. He watched Remus walking away from the shop. When the both of them caught eye contact, they looked away quickly, afraid of admitting something they hadn't figured out yet.
