When we got back to the hotel, we walked into the auditorium that was filled to the brim with Supernatural fans. It had already started and on stage was Jensen, Jared, and Misha. A small teenaged girl walked up to the microphone and they turned their attention to her.
She cleared her throat and they smiled at her. "Hey sweetie, how are you?" Jared asked softly. "I'm doing good I guess. My question is for you actually." She said and he smiled. "Shoot." He said with a soft smile. "Well uh, I am currently battling depression. My parents just passed but Supernatural has helped me a lot. But my question is, how do you get out of the dark hole of sadness and fear of letting people down?" She asked her voice breaking at the end.
"Oh, sweetie." Jared said and walked up to her and hugged her tightly and he held her up because she had fell into him. Poor, poor girl. I remember when I lost my dad, if it hadn't been for my mom, I would've ended up just like her. He talked to her for a moment and walked back up onto the stage. "Listen, this goes out to anyone battling depression. Getting there is easy. Getting out is hard but I got out of it because of my family and friends. They helped me a whole hell of a lot. But the thing that kept me going was my wife Gen. She would tell me everyday. Always keep fighting. And I did. For her, for you guys, for my family and friends. And most of all, myself." He said and everyone clapped.
"Thank you." She said and Jared smiled at her wiping his face. "Alright hi, what's your name?" Misha said turning to the other person on the other side of the stage. "My name is Kane Red. And my question is for Jensen." He said and Misha looked at Jensen. "Alright Kane, shoot." He said looking at the guy. I guess he looks okay. I don't know though. My phone started to ring and I walked out.
"Hello?" I answered and waited for an answer. "Hi, is this Claire Snow?" A man asked, I looked at the caller ID and it was my mom. "Uh yes. Why are you on my mom's phone?" I asked and the man sighed. "I'm sorry but, your mom has just passed away." The man said and I looked at my phone. "What did you just say?" I asked trying to get clarification. "In better words, someone murdered your mother. I'm so sorry to tell you this." He said and I felt a hand on my shoulder.
"Uh, it's fine. Thank you. I'll be up shortly." I said and hung up the phone. I turned to see a concerned Jensen staring back at me. "What happened?" He asked and I shook my head. "Nothing, it's fine. Go finish you job. I have to leave after the concert." I said and we both walked back in. He went back on stage and looked at the Kane guy. "So sorry man. What's the question?" He asked smiling. "Are you in love?" He asked and Jensen looked at Misha and Jared. "I was actually but it didn't work out. I still love her." He said and smiled at me? Why'd he smile at me?
"What's wrong?" Four asked and I looked at him. "Someone killed my mom." I said and Tris leaned over. "What? Why?" She asked and I shrugged. "No idea. But, I've gotta stay until the concert, do that and then leave. I'm sorry guys." I said and Four shook his head. "Don't be, we'll come with you." He said and I nodded. The rest of the convention went by in a blur but when it was over, we all left and I went backstage to help set up for the concert.
Once we were all set up, I went back to my room to get changed. When we got here, I had went to the store and bought some cowboy boots and new exercise t-shirts. So I dressed in my new boots, and a blue exercise t-shirt with black pants. I curled my hair and fixed my makeup. When I was ready, I headed down to the auditorium where the fans started coming in once again.
I went backstage and Rob found me. "We ready?" He asked and I smiled. "Yeah. Let's do this." I said as we walked on stage. The curtain was down and I could hear Richard talking. "Ladies and gentleman, let me proudly introduce, Louden Swain!" He said and the curtain was drawn and the crowd went wild. "Thank you Rich for that lovely introduction, I know you guys were expecting Kim tonight but unfortunately she caught the flu and couldn't make it. So, tonight, we have a special guest. Please welcome Claire Snow!" He said and again the crowd cheered loudly and I waved to them.
We sang Eskimo and Medicated proudly then it was just me and Rob. "So, this is the last one for Claire, and it is one close to her and my heart. My dad sang this to me every night before he left." He said and I gave him a sympathetic smile. "Before my mom passed, she got me obsessed with this song and I love her for it so, let's do this." I said and the crowd cheered. I started the intro for Free Falling and they cheered even louder.
I sang my part and played the guitar, then Rob sang his part. The crowd joined in on the last chorus while it was acapella. When it was over I started to cry as the crowd cheered. Rob gave me a hug and I waved to the crowd before walking off the stage. "Stay for this one. Please." Jensen said and I nodded. "Okay. Sure." I said and he smiled then ran up on stage.
The band was back on stage and started to play the intro to Bryan Adam's 'Heaven'. "There's a special woman I'm dedicating this song to. Sweetheart, know that I'm sorry." He said and I looked down. He started to sing and my heart melted. The words sounded so sweet coming from is mouth. When the song faded, he looked back at me and smiled. I smiled back and walked away.
Four was waiting outside with Tris when I walked out there. "Let's go." I said duffle in hand and they were on their motorcycles. "We'll take you to your bike, fuel up there and go the rest of the way." Four said and I nodded. "Hop on." He said and I did so wrapping my arms around his waist. We took off and started our way back to Texas.
When we got to Texas, I told them the way to my apartment complex and went there. "Give me a few minutes." I said and they both nodded. I ran up the stairs and to my apartment. I unlocked the door and went straight to my room. Taking out the already used clothes, I replaced them with new, clean ones and wrote a note to Jensen.
I slid the note into his mail slot then walked back down the stairs. I got on my bike and instantly let the anger wash over me. "Let's ride."
