Everything Has Changed

Twelve

When we got to my room,  we ordered pizza and soda. My brain was screaming to order a bottle of bourbon but I swore I wouldn't go down that road again. We watched a movie called 'The Thinning' I liked it a lot actually, kind of a fucked up situation but it was a good movie.

As the movie ended, Four had fallen asleep on my lap and Tris smiled at the both of us as I turned off the TV. "What?" I whispered trying not to wake up Four. "He hasn't stopped talking about you since you left. When Christena showed him that post, he lit up and told me we had to come down. He still loves you ya know." She said and I smiled down at Four.

He was literally smiling in his sleep. "As do I." I said and Four shifted in his sleep, wrapping his arms around my waist. I miss this, I miss him. A lot. Momma liked him a lot, he helped her when my dad died and she grew very found of him. "Then why did you leave?" She asked and I looked at her. "I had to. Tris, I wasn't in a good place. I needed to start over and I got one. I love it here. I have a great job, an insane opportunity here." I said and she nodded in understanding.

"Do you want me to take him to our room?" She asked and I looked down at a peaceful Four. "No, it's alright." I said and she nodded then gave me a side hug. "Goodnight Claire. Love you." She said walking to the door. "Love you too Tris. Goodnight." I said and she walked out. I scooted down on the bed so I was laying down but Four woke up.

"Shit, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to wake you." I said and he shook his head. "It's fine. Where's Tris?" He asked and I smiled. "She left. You fell asleep and I didn't want to wake you." I said and he smiled back at me. "Thank you." He said and I nodded. He went to get up but I grabbed his hand. "Please stay Four." I said and he nodded. "Okay. I'll stay." He said and interlaced his fingers with mine. I miss the feeling his hand in mine gives me.

He got under the blankets and wrapped his arm around my shoulders and I laid on his chest hearing the rapid beating of his heart. "You did amazing today Claire." He said and his chest vibrated at his words. "Thank you. I tried." I said and he chuckled. I looked up at him and he locked eyes with me. "I miss you Four." I said and he smiled. "I missed you too" He said and I smiled at him.

I put my hand on his cheek and he leaned into it. He pressed a light kiss to my palm and I looked at him. "Fuck it." I said and I grabbed his jaw and moved it so he was looking at me. I pressed my lips to his and melted into the kiss. He moved his hands to the small of my back and I smiled into the kiss.

He pulled away from me and looked at me. "That guy. He isn't your boyfriend right?" He asked and I shook my head. "Not that I know of." I said and he smiled. "Is there any chance, any at all that you'll come back?" He asked and I shook my head again. "Not to stay, but I will to visit my mom and of course the rest of Dauntless." I said and he nodded.

"Then I can't wait." He smiled and I kissed him again and laid my head back down on his chest. We fell asleep like that and woke up like that as well. I woke up first and looked at my phone. 8:30am it read and I smiled. I put the phone down and there was a knock on the door and Four was instantly awake. 

"Who's here?" He asked fully awake and I shrugged. "No idea." I said getting up to get the door. I opened it seeing a smiling Rob and another guy on the other side. "Hey Rob! What's up?" I asked and let them both in. "Hey Claire, this is Richard Speight. He wanted to come meet you, wouldn't leave me alone until I brought him up." He said and I laughed.

"Hello Richard. I'm Claire but you already know that. What can I do for you?" I asked holding out my hand for him to shake as Four came up behind me. "I just wanted to see for myself," He said and I looked at him confused. "See what?" Four and I said in unison. "How amazing you look and who's taking Kim's spot today." He said and I smiled. "Got it. Well if you guys want to wait for us in the lobby, I'll take you to breakfast." I said and they nodded then walked out.

"You do breakfast now?" Four asked and I smiled. "Nope. But Rob's been good to me so I should treat him right?" I said walking over to my duffle and Four over to his backpack that I didn't realize he had brought in. Without thinking, I started to get dressed and I heard Four clear his throat. I threw on my black exercise T- shirt and turned around. "I'm sorry." I said laughing and he shook his head while smiling.

"You're good." He said and took off his shirt. Damn I forgot how built he was. "Like what you see?" He asked and I smiled. "You wish Four." I said laughing and walked to the bathroom to finish getting ready. I put on my blue flannel and black skinny jeans with my biker boots and walked out of the bathroom putting my hair into a ponytail when someone else knocked on the door.

"Your like a celebrity." Four joked and I looked at him. "Can you get that please? I have to finish up here." I said taking out my makeup bag and walked to the bathroom. I heard the door open and then silence. "Who is it Four?" I asked walking out of the bathroom to see Jensen punch Four right in the jaw. 

I ran behind Four just as he was going to hit him back and I knew he wouldn't control his temper so I grabbed his arm and pulled him into the room. "Stay here." I mouthed to him and walked out. "What is your deal?" I asked Jensen furiously as I shut the door. "I came to apologize but obviously, you had other plans." He said and I couldn't help but laugh.

He looked at me confused and I looked up at him. "Jensen, look man. You are probably an amazing guy but I draw the line when that amazing guy comes up and starts bringing up my past not knowing what the fuck he's talking about. Just stop okay. Stop, I tried to get you to drop it and you continued. You pressed harder. If you hadn't I would've forgiven you." I said and he put his head down. 

"Thank you for everything. I'm sure you'll find someone better than me anyways." I said and walked up to him and lifted his chin so he'd look at me. "But you know what? I forgive you but this is over. You'll be my boss and if you want, my friend." I said and he nodded. "I'd like that very much." he said smiling. I kissed his cheek and walked back into the room.

"Are you okay Four?" I asked and he nodded. "I'll be fine. Are you?" He asked and I nodded. "I'll be fine." I said. I finished my makeup and we went down to the lobby and then to breakfast. "Claire?" Richard asked between bites and I looked at him. "What's up?" I asked and he put down his fork. "Would you come to convention with us?" He asked and I nodded. "Sure! Can I bring Four and Tris?" I asked and he nodded. "Of course. If we want to beat the fans to the doors, we should leave now then." Rob said and we got up, I paid for the food after continuous arguing with Richard and Rob then we set out to the convention.
