"Alright Momma. This is all of it!" I said closing the back of the small moving van and locking it. "Oh sweetheart, I'm gonna miss you so much!" She said kissing my cheek. "I'll be back soon. Promise." I said laughing a little. "Claire, I'm proud of you. Have I told you that yet?" She asked and I help back the tears that threatened to spill from my eyes.

"I know Momma. Thank you. But, I have to go! I'll call you when I get there!" I said giving her one last hug before hopping into the moving van. She waved goodbye and I drove off. Off to Texas. Three days drive from Vancouver and I was going to love every second of it. When I got to the stop sign, I hooked the Aux cord to my phone and put on my favorite old song. The acoustic guitar started and I smiled.

Tom Petty's 'Free Falling' started to play and I sang along. I could only imagine myself on a stage with a six string in my hand and singing this song. But that would never happen. Songs came on and faded out for what seemed like forever. I've been on the road for two and a half days now coming closer and closer to Texas and my nerves getting more and more intense. "Only a few more hours and I'll be unpacking my new apartment." I said to myself turning down a freeway.

My phone started to ring loudly over the speakers. "Oh, Jesus." I said unplugging the aux from my phone and answering. "Claire Snow speaking. How can I help you?"  I asked putting my phone on speaker as I took the exit that would lead me to Texas. "Hi Ms. Snow. This is Lydia Sun from The Family Business Beer Co. And I'm calling to tell you that you will start tomorrow at 9:30 am here." Lydia said over the phone and I did a silent fist pump and smiled.

"That sounds amazing Ms. Sun. Thanks for your call I'll see you at 9:30am tomorrow." I said and hung up. Finally after a long and boring five hours later, I reached my apartment in Texas only a few minutes away from my new job. I turned off the moving van and hopped out. Opening the office door, I smiled and walked in. "Hi! I'm Claire Snow I'm supposed to be moving into 156 B today." I said cheerfully and the receptionist smiled. "Okay Ms. Snow, here are your keys and happy moving!" She said handing me a key labeled 156 B.

I smiled back at her and took the key. Walking out of the office, I drove up to the apartment I would be staying in and once again cut the engine. I started moving my stuff up the stairs and placed it in the middle of the rooms the things belonged to. "Now the mattress." I said to myself and sighed then walked back down the stairs. Grabbing the sides of my king sized mattress, I struggled to get it out. Pulling it out, I almost fell when someone grabbed the other side and balanced it.

"Woah there. What are you doin moving this all by yourself?" A gruff voice came from the other side of the mattress. "Uh, just trying to get up to my apartment. I can do it on my own." I said feeling my cheeks go red. "I don't mind at all. Which one are ya?" The guy asked and I sighed. "156 B." I responded and he whistled. "Up stairs even. Well, let's get up there." He said and he started to walk.

Once we got up the stairs and into my room, we set it down. For the first time I saw the mystery dude's face. Damn he's hot! I guess he caught me staring because he cleared his throat. Technically I wasn't staring, I was lost in thought. "Sorry, did you say something?" I asked smiling coming back to reality. "I asked if you needed anymore help." He said once again and I smiled at him. "I think I'm good. Thanks... I'm sorry, I don't know your name." I said and he chuckled.

"Jensen. Yours?" He asked smiling. Jensen's an odd name but I like it. "Claire. Claire Snow." I said holding out my hand for him to shake. In turn, he did and I swear that the dude shocked me. "Where do you come from Claire?" He asked and I looked up at him. His forest green eyes looking curiously at me. "Vancouver Canada." I said and he smiled in recognition. "I love it up there this time of year!" He said and I laughed. I love it in the summertime too. It wasn't too hot nor too cold. The trees were beautiful and you could hear kids running and playing all around.

"Me too. I'm sorry to push you out Jensen, but I do have to put this frame together so I can sleep tonight." I said and he chuckled. "Nah, I get it. Moving is stressful. But I'll leave you to it." He said smiling. He has an amazing smile. No Claire, don't think like that! I thought to myself and looked back up at him. "Thanks so much for the help again. I'll walk you out." I said and he nodded. I showed him out and he smiled as I opened the door. "See you around Claire. Don't play music too loud though cause I live right down there and I do need my sleep." He said chuckling.

"I'll keep that in mind. See you around Jensen." I said and he walked away so I shut the door. "Alright, lets get things put together." I said out loud to myself and turned on my blue tooth speaker and started to play some 80s rock. It took me about four hours but, I got everything put away and together. Deciding to call my mom, I turned off the music and dialed her number. Once, twice, three times and she answered.

"Hey Momma. I made it and I'm all unpacked!" I said smiling proud of myself. "That's great sweetie!" She said and there was a knock on my door. "One sec Momma, someone's here." I said and set the phone down on the end table. Not expecting anyone so whos at my door? I wondered to myself and opened the door.

"Uh, Jensen. What are you doing here?" I asked cocking an eyebrow. "So uh, I accidentally bought two tickets to the drive in. I misread and" It was cute to see him nervous but I would like him to get to the point. "Okay? Ask someone to go with you then." I said smiling and motioning him to come in. I walked to my phone on the end table. "Momma, I'll call you back. Love you." I said and hung up.

"I did but everyone I know is busy. So I was wondering if you'd come with me. I understand if you don't. Cause creepy guy you just met wants you to come to a drive in. Um, never mind. You don't want to go." He said and started to leave. "Woah, woah. I never said that! I would love to go with you. Let me get ready, my bike should be dropped off to the complex soon, give me five. You're welcome to wait I shouldn't take long." I said and he nodded and sat down on the couch.
