Sam walked down the stairs and into the library. "Hey babe. You ready?" Sam asked smiling. Claire looked back at Sam then to Dean. "We have to be there in 20 right?" Claire asked Sam and he nodded. "Okay, can I talk to Dean real quick? Do you mind helping Gabriel out?" Claire asked smiling at Sam and he nodded. "Of course. Take your time." Sam said walking out going to find Gabriel. "What do you mean him taking me away from you?" Claire asked and Dean shook his head.
"I uh- I just wish it would be me in that courthouse with you. But today is your day, please don't tell Sam. He is so happy. The happiest I've seen him in well, ever." Dean said and Claire nodded. "Thank you for telling me Dean." Claire said standing up and kissing his cheek. "Are you coming?" She asked and he nodded. "Okay, see you there." She said walking to Gabriel's room. "Guys, we're ready." Claire said smiling at the scene she saw. Sam was helping Gabriel with his tie teaching him how to do it.
"And put it through the hole and tighten this up and done!" Sam said smiling and patting Gabriel on the shoulder. "Thank you." He said and Sam nodded. "Of course. Anytime bud." Sam said turning around to Claire. "Sorry, what?" Sam asked a grinning Claire. "We're ready." Claire said and the three of them walked out of Gabriel's room.
Dean, Sam, Gabriel, and Claire loaded into the Impala and took off to the courthouse. The car ride was silent. Claire and Gabriel stared out the window watching the trees go by in a blur. Dean would sneak in looks through the rear view mirror at Claire while they were driving. Once they reached the courthouse, Claire was the first to get out. Jody, Alex, and Cas were already there waiting for them. Sam came up behind Claire and interlaced his fingers with hers. "We're really doing this." She said smiling up at Sam. "Yes we are. You ready?" He asked and she nodded. They all walked into the courthouse where the priest was waiting.
"Oh wow. Okay. So I'm guessing Sam and Claire?" He said pointing to Claire and Dean. "No, this is Sam." Claire said and the priest nodded. "My apologies. Are we ready to begin?" He asked and both Claire and Sam nodded while smiling. The priest began saying the blessing while everyone watched. "The rings?" The priest said and Gabriel handed Sam only one ring. Claire let go of Sam's hand and untied the necklace she had on taking off the ring. "Okay, vows would be next if you have any." He said and Claire took in a sharp breath.
"Sammy, this ring was meant for someone very close to my heart. Someone I loved with everything I have. And that's you. I can't imagine life without you fighting by my side. They say that you only have one true love, cheesy right? But I believe that I have found that true love and I'm happy it could be you." She said a tear running down her cheek and putting the ring on Sam's left hand while smiling. Sam smiled at her and sniffled. Clearing his throat he started. "Claire, Jesus if you told me we'd be here today I would've laughed right in your face. But when I first saw you, I knew I would grow old with you I knew you were the one. We've both faced horrible losses in the past but that's what brought us together. And I would do it all over again if I had to." Sam said putting the ring on her finger.
"Well, I now pronounce you husband and wife you-" Sam didn't give him time to finish. He dipped Claire and pressed a gentle kiss to her lips. They both smiled while Jody, Alex, Cas, Gabriel, and Dean whooped and clapped. Sam brought Claire up and they thanked the priest then walked out. "Congrats bro." Dean said hitting Sam on the back. "Congrats Claire." He said hugging her. "Thank you Dean." She said kissing his cheek. "Okay, everyone should be at the reception location in a few hours. I'm gonna get Mrs. Winchester ready. Have fun guys." Jody said guiding Alex and Claire to her truck.
"I have a dress that would look amazing on you if you want to try it on." Alex said and Claire smiled at her. "Of course. Thank you. Jody, thank you for letting me into your family." Claire said making Jody smile at her. When they got to the hotel Jody and Alex were staying in, they all hopped out going into the lobby. Jody and Alex stepped into the elevator but Claire stayed out. "Do-do we um- Do we have to take the elevator?" She asked nervously. "It'll be fine Claire. Come on." Alex said grabbing her arm and moving her into the elevator.
Once they got to the room, Jody and Alex went to work. Claire loved Alex's dress so she was going to wear it with white heels.

They curled her hair and did her makeup and finally, she was ready just before the reception started. Claire helped both Jody and Alex get ready when they were done, Claire guided Jody to the location. The sun had set and it was a clear warm night. When Claire got out of the truck, she walked up the path looking at the trees. They had spent all week lining the trees with lights and streamers. The lake looked beautiful and so did everything else. Everyone was there. Jo, Ellen, Rowena, Crowley, Garth, some people Claire met over the years. Somehow, she crossed paths with Four and Tris again so they were there.
Sam was talking to Dean, Garth, Four, and Tris when they arrived. Dean noticed Claire and tapped on Sam's shoulder. "Dude, they're here." Dean said while looking at Claire. She was talking to Rowena, Jo, Ellen, Alex, and Jody. She was smiling and having an amazing time. "She's beautiful." Sam said and Dean agreed but only in his head. Sam was dressed in black slacks and a tucked in white button down. Gabriel walked up to Claire and he looked very handsome as well. "Oh my goodness! My boy's all grown up! Look at you!" She said hugging him he smiled and hugged her back. "You look beautiful mom." He said smiling.
"I could say the same." Sam said from behind her. She turned around and smiled at Sam. "Thank you both." She said hugging Sam. Her favorite song came on 'Everything Has Changed' By Ed Sheeran and Taylor swift. She took Sam's hand and led him to the middle of the field and started to dance with him. "Did I ever tell you how much I love you?" Sam asked and she smiled. "I already know but you should tell me again." She said making him laugh. He leaned down and kissed her. He put his forehead on hers and smiled. Jody snapped a picture real quick without them even noticing.
When they were done dancing, Claire smiled and kissed Sam on the cheek. She walked up to Dean and grabbed his hand. "I know you know this song. Sing it with me." She said guiding him to the mic. "So Dean promised to sing this song with me because he's a nice human being. Aren't ya Dean?" Claire said into the mic and he just smiled at her. Jody walked up to her handing her a guitar and she threw the strap over her shoulders and started the intro to 'Shallow' by Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga
"Tell me something girl, are you happy in this modern world? Or do you need more? Is there somethin' else you're searchin for? I'm fallin. In all the good times I find myself longing for change. And in the bad times I fear myself" Dean started looking directly in Claire's eyes clearly trying to send a message. Which was working. "Tell me something boy, aren't you tired trying to fill that void, or do you need more? Ain't it hard keepin' it so hardcore? I'm falling. In all the good times I find myself longing, for change. And in the bad times I fear myself..." Claire sang excited for her favorite part also looking at Dean. "I'm off the deep end watch as I dive in, I'll never meet the ground. Crash through the surface where they can't hurt us, we're far from the shallow now." She held out every key perfectly. It was time for her and Dean to sing together. Have they before? Not one note but, it felt natural to them. Did they have chemistry on stage? Most definitely. Did they have actual chemistry? Claire hoped to God that no one thought so.
"I'm off the deep end watch as I dive in, I'll never meet the ground, crash through the surface where they can't hurt us, we're far from the shallow now. In sha-ha shallow, in the sha-sha la-la-la- low. In the sha-ha shallow, we're far from the shallow now." Dean and Claire sang the last chorus together and it sounded amazing. Claire broke eye contact with Dean and smiled at their audience. Was Claire happy with Sam? More then she had been in a while. But, she had a deep feeling in her heart that she chose wrong. Maybe she had, she'd never find out. For now, she just wanted to be happy.
