Chapter 6

As you and the members arrive to the amusement park located downtown, you look up at the huge Farris Wheel a few feet away from the vehicle. You start to pick at your nails as you hear the sliding doors of the van open, the sound of carnival games going through your ears in an instant.

You watch the members run out happily and Yeosang pulls you out of the car and guides you out. You all run towards the Ferris Wheel and stop at the entrance to wait for Hongjoong to get tickets.

The place wasn't very full compared to how it was a few weeks ago. There's usually a bunch of children running around the park grounds but the only overly excited children you saw were YunGi and WooSan. Hongjoong comes back to y'all after a bit and hands you and the members a ticket each for the Ferris Wheel.

"The clerk at the booth told me two people per carriage, so we will have to go in pairs." Hongjoong explains, sticking his hand in his hoodie pocket as he stuffs a lollipop in between his lips.

"But there's 9 of us..." Jongho says, his head tilting in confusion as he looks at the older.

"Yeah, Dad needs a break from you crazy kids so I'll be going solo." Hongjoong replies, with a little smile.

"Seriously?" Seonghwa asks, sending a glare towards Hongjoong who shudders at the look.

"Yes, seriously! I wish to have peace and quiet and enjoy the nice view." Hongjoong replies, crossing his arms and taking a few steps away from the older

"You get plenty of peace and quiet when you stay up late at your studio." Seonghwa grumbles, his arms crossing over his chest.

"OKAY! The pairs will be..." Hongjoong exclaims, quickly changing the topic at hand. "Wooyoung and San, Yunho and Mingi, Jongho and Yeosang, and Seonghwa and Y/N."

You and Yeosang look at each other worriedly as Seonghwa glances over at you, then at Hongjoong. He ends up hitting the latter's shoulder and the younger chuckles innocently before patting the older's shoulder in a "you're welcome" type of manner.

"All Ferris Wheel customers, it's time to board!" The clerk stand near a carriage shouts.

"FERRIS WHEEL!!" YunGi and WooSan shout happily, for the millionth time in past 10 minutes.

All the members start to load inside the white carriages and you watch the Ferris Wheel slowly rotate clockwise. When you and Seonghwa's carriage comes to the ground, you stay put and the older looks over at you.  He ends up walking over to you and he hesitantly takes your hand, causing you to look at him wide eyed. 

He takes a quick glance at you before he guides you to the carriage, despite you dragging your heels into the ground like a little kid. When you both get inside the carriage and the door closes, you grip onto the railing and look down, letting out a heavy sigh as your eyes shut tightly.

Seonghwa looks over at you worriedly and he goes to walk over to you, only to be stopped by the carriage getting lifted up off the ground. He grips onto the railing near him with both his hands and avoids looking at the windows around him completely.

"Wooooo~" You coo, tightening your grip onto the railing. "I knew I should've drank more water... Damn you, Yeosang..."

You start to let out all sorts of noises when the carriage starts to sway back and forth due to the heavy wind. Nervous laughter starts to escape your lips and you practically scream when you feel someone wrap their arms around you. When you look behind you and see Seonghwa gripping onto you tightly, you let out a heavy exhale and hit his bicep before you grip onto the railing again.

"You're scared of heights aren't you?" Seonghwa asks, not moving from his position, only tightening his grip on you slightly.

"What makes you think that? I do great with heights thank you very much." You reply, rather quickly as you look back down at the floor of the carriage.
