Walking into the orphanage wasn't the best feeling for Aurora, in fact it made her stomach drop hearing the sounds of women yelling at children.

"Do you know who we must speak with?" Cole asked the red haired girl.

"Matron." Anne said simply as they began to walk up the stairs, a woman following, walking past them while gripping the arm of a young, panting girl.

As they reached the top of the stairs, there was a room that they stopped at, it seemed to be a bedroom, where there were sounds of a child crying.

"Looks almost bearable in daylight." Anne spoke softly.

"Was it horrible here?" Cole asked as Aurora put a hand on the girls shoulder.

"Its an orphanage." Anne turned towards the two. "Worse than some, better than others, I'm sure."

Neither of them spoke, they just followed Anne as she continued walking.

The three entered a fairly large room where they sat in three chairs, two young children sitting in two separate chairs while a man who seemed to be their father stood talking to a woman behind a desk with papers and books piled on top of it. The room was rather depressing, it was dark, gloomy, and quiet, nothing but the sound of the man speaking and the young children crying softly.

"Their mother died and I can't keep them." The man spoke.

"How old?" The woman behind the desk asked, her expression staying bored.

"Four, and six." The man's voice was raspy, like he hadn't gotten sleep in days.

Aurora couldn't take the soft sobs of the children, she got up and walked over to them, kneeling down, sofly wiping their tears from their cheeks.

"You know what? Stay here, and you have a very nice chance of finding a nice family." Aurora half smiled as she attempted to calm the small children.

The little girl grabbed Aurora's hand in fright after the man walked out of the room, the little boy following and gripping onto his leg. "Papa!"

"I can't take care of ya, I can't keep ya!" The little boy was pulled off by a woman while he sobbed. "Go on."

The woman took the little girl as well, to which she didn't struggle, she gave a small painful smile towards Aurora as she was dragged along with her older brother.

Aurora held a sympathetic look as she walked back over to the duo.

"It's our turn." Cole sighed as Anne sat with the same look of sympathy, but mixed with fear.

They stood, Cole and Aurora following behind Anne, soon enough standing on either side of her.

"Yes? May I help you?" The woman spoke. Anne didn't say a word, she was frozen with fear. "Are you dropping off or picking up?"

Anne stood, still not saying a word, so Cole spoke for her. "Neither. She was an orphan here, for a long time." He spoke calmly. "Her name is Anne Shirley.

"We're looking for information on her family." Aurora finished as she rubbed the girls back in reassurance.

"Did you used to talk a lot?" The woman raised a brow as Anne hardly nodded. "Talked yourslef clean out of words. Well? What? Why come to me?"

"Might you have documentation on me? My parents?" Anne finally spoke.

"We may have at one time." The woman said blankly. "A few years ago the rats were so bad they cleaned us out. If your folks dumped you off here we've nothing that says anything about it."

"Walter and Bertha Shirley." Anne spoke a little louder than before, mostly out of anger. "They didn't dump me off, they died of fever."

"If you say so. But we've nothin." The woman took a sip of her tea.

Anne's eyes began to water as she rushed out of the room, Cole followed, as did Aurora, but not before turning quickly in the doorway towards the woman.

"You, are a nasty, and rude human being, and I hope you rot in hell." Aurora fumed as she gripped her dress and turned, following the two who were now headed down the stairs.

But when they reached the door, Anne turned, rushing back up the stairs.

"Cole." Aurora grabbed the boys wrist before he could go anywhere. "I have to go, tell Anne I said goodbye will you?"

Cole nodded as he gave her a quick and simple hug. "I'm glad I got to see you again Aurora." Cole smiled before rushing up the stairs to follow Anne.

Aurora smoothed out her dress and walked out the door, straightening her hat before heading into Charlotte Town.

Charlotte Town truly was Aurora favorite place to go, they had so many different jewelry and fashion stores, but most of all they had her favorite tea shop, the shop was divine, it had all sorts of pastries and different types of tea and coffee.

Aurora sat down at a table and pulled out a book from her bag, as the people around her laughed and talked. Soon enough the door opened, the bell giving a ding.

The girl didn't bother to look up until someone sat in the chair across from her, their stare burning into her head as she took a deep breath.

Aurora knew exactly who had just taken the seat. And it was really no surprise to her.

She pulled her gaze away from the book, lifting her head to meet the eyes of Moody Spurgeon.

"Hello Aurora." Moody gave a grin that had a hint of sarcasm, which Aurora took notice of.

"Moody." Aurora nodded, giving back the same grin.

"Been a minute since I last saw you, how have you been?" Moodys expression didn't change, it stayed the same, his glare burning into her green eyes.

"Actually." Aurora stood from her chair. "I was just leaving."

The girl rolled her eyes, putting her book in her bag as she slung it over her shoulder before heading out the door.

Moody hesitated, but stood, chasing after the girl and standing in front of her as soon as he caught up.

"Do you need something, Spurgeon?" Aurora half grinned.

"Well-." Moody was never good with words, and Aurora knew that. "I guess I just wanted to apologize for getting all worked up the other day."

Aurora may have been as short tempered as a certain red head at times but a wave of guilt rushed over he as she watched the boy stare down at his feet.

"Billy Andrews is a prick." Aurora nodded as she pursed her lips.

Moodys head perked up as soon as he heard those words, a smile blooming across his face.

"So you're not upset with me?" The boys smile grew larger.

"Of course not, there's nothing wrong with a little out break." Aurora grinned.

Moody rushed over by her side, taking his hat off his head and placing it onto Auroras.

Aurora could've sworn her heart about bursted as he did so. She linked arms with the taller boy as they began walking back to the train station.
