A/N: I feel like it's been weird with Auroras parents not having names so from now on they'll be known as Penelope and Frank! (Just the first names that popped into my head idk 😭).

"Know it's for the better."

"You're growing into such a beautiful young woman." Penelope sighed, staring at her daughter in the mirror as she tightened her corset.

Aurora winced, at the tightness of the corset and at her mothers words.

"I'm so glad you decided to go to the fair." Penelope smiled, tucking a strand of her daughters hair behind her ear. "Maybe you'll find a nice young boy there."

"Ya, maybe." Aurora thought back to the other night with Moody, avoiding eye contact through the mirror with her mother.

When Penelope was done with Auroras corset, she left the room, leaving her to get ready.

When the girl was finished getting ready, she stared in the mirror for a while. She wore her nicest dress, a light green and white dress, that she hardly ever wore. Her usual gloves were slipped on as well as her boots and her hat.

Aurora kept tugging on her dress, like it didn't fit right or it was to scratchy. All she could think about was how Moody would think she looked in it.

Eventually she gave up. She groaned and walked out of her bedroom, and into the kitchen where Penelope, Frank, and Ian all stood talking and laughing.

"Are you sure Ian should come to the fair?" Aurora approached her parents. "I mean is it really a good idea?"

"He's been doing better, I think he'll be ok." Frank ruffled Ian's hair, causing him to giggle.

Aurora gave a half smile, watching her family having their first genuine moment in who knows how long.

"Alright is everybody ready to go?" Penelope smiled as she opened the door.

Everyone left the house, heading on their way to the fair.

Aurora was never to fond of the fair. She didn't like big crowds, they've always made her nervous.

As Aurora and her family walked through the crowd, she spotted Josie, who was with Billy, Jane, and Prissy.

"Mother, can I go over with my friends?" Aurora gave a tooth grin.

"Fine, but find us soon." Penelope sighed and waved her off, and Aurora gladly went.
