Samantha's POV
I've been staring at the students entering the school gate for about a minute now. I am contemplating whether to enter the school already or to wait for my one and only best friend since pre-school, Ivory Brown.
'She will probably be late' I thought to myself and decided to enter the school ground alone.
Today is my first day as a senior high school student and I just wanted to have a peaceful school year without anyone noticing my presence. I succeed during my junior high school and I thought that it wouldn't also be hard now.
As I was walking through the hallway, I saw a bunch of schoolboys laughing and grinning towards each other as they approach my direction.
I am silently praying for them not to notice me and make fun of me but I guess this is my lucky day as one of them smirks at me and just suddenly pushed me against the locker beside me.
"Watch it, nerd!" One of them shouted at my face.
'Talking about luck, eh?' Is what I just muttered to myself.
I was busy finding my eyeglasses as it fell due to the impact of colliding with the poor locker. When I finally found it, I was about to pick it up but then a slender hand is also touching my eyeglasses and about to pick it up.
"Thank y—" I was not able to finish what I am about to say when I saw who is the person in front of me.
The person is none other than Isabelle Anderson, the girl who is adored by the whole population of our school and yes, girls are also head over heels with this goddess in front of me because who wouldn't? She is the epitome of perfection.
Isabell Anderson is the most popular girl here in our school not just because of her looks that is to die for but she also has the intelligence and leadership that fuels the admiration of our fellow schoolmates towards her. Aside from that, Isabelle is also the richest student in our school as to why no one dares to oppose her because she can make someone's life a living hell if she wanted to.
Isabelle is just looking at me with her blank expression and I suddenly wanted to run and hide from her. Her sweet scent is invading my nostrils and I am feeling dizzy with our proximity. I suddenly blush when I saw that I am still holding her hand.
"Thank y—" Again, I was not able to finish what I wanted to say because this time, she interrupted me.
"You don't need to thank me, I just hate seeing pathetic students and you look one." She said while fixing her gorgeous blue eyes on my hazel ones.
I was hurt by what she said but I guess she's right. I hastily grab my eyeglasses and wear it.
Without saying anything, she turns her head away from me and started to walk away.
I sighed thinking that never did I imagined an encounter with Isabell Anderson and worst, she called me pathetic.
I brushed away all the things that happened and started walking to my own class.
-------------------
'Calculus? Interesting.' I said to myself after scanning my whole schedule.
I started searching for my room number and after five minutes, I was able to find it.
As I enter our classroom, I heard some of my classmates are whispering towards one another and giggle after.
"Isabelle is our classmate! I can't believe how lucky we are!" Said one of the girls that are literally ogling Isabelle which clearly does not give any damn about them as she's busy on her cellphone while her long, white and slender legs are crossed.
"Oh my god! I just love her so much and I don't know if I can focus on class because I may just stare at her the whole discussion!" The petite with a short hair girl said.
Well, I cannot disagree, Isabelle is just irresistible and with her earthly beauty, no wonder that even girls are drooling over her.
"Lower down your voice Miles. We know that Isabelle is straight and she might get pissed upon hearing us being so gay about her." The girl with eyeglasses said, feeling nervous that Isabelle might hear them.
I want to laugh at them but I don't want to embarrass myself and ruin my plan on being the invisible nerd the whole school year.
I wander my eyes to search for an empty seat and I stiffed seeing that the only available seats are beside Isabelle and the other one is beside some creepy boy.
I can't decide on where will I sit because either way, I will just be uncomfortable with both of my possible seatmates.
'Crap, just choose Sam! You're starting to gain attention by being a total fool for just standing still!' I said while debating with myself.
I started to sweat because some of my classmates are now looking at me as if I am some stupid and weird nerd.
I saw Isabelle's gorgeous eyes bore in me and I felt a shiver run down my spine as her gaze is just too intense though she still has her blank expression.
I might just be hallucinating when I saw disappointment in her eyes when I am about to walk into the empty seat beside the creepy boy as it also suddenly vanished.
She glared at me before she turned her attention away from me leaving me confused.
"Good morning my dear students, I am Ms. Rosa Smith and I will be your homeroom teacher and also your teacher in calculus" The woman probably in her mid-thirties said as she entered our classroom.
Our homeroom teacher is also a beauty and I can sense that she's warm and gentle so I relaxed with the thought.
"Since I am your teacher, I will be the one who will assign your seats and who will be your seatmate" Ms. Smith added
I don't know but I became nervous all of a sudden.
Ms. Smith instructed us to stand up and go to the back of the classroom so she can now start the pairing.
"If Isabell will be my seatmate, I will not sneak out of the class nor absent anymore" One of our male classmates said.
Almost everyone agreed, wishing that they will be lucky enough to be Isabelle's seatmate.
Isabelle kept her blank face, ignoring the fact the all of our classmates are wishing to be her seatmate.
I just closed my eyes and silently prayed that our teacher will not make Isabelle my seatmate but I guess my luck kept on running away from me.
"Anderson and Miller" My teacher said.
I heard gasps and even groan everywhere when they heard what our teacher said.
When I opened my eyes, I saw my classmates glaring at me and if looks could kill, I would probably be dead by now.
I can't move from where I am standing right now. I'm afraid that any minute now, someone will just slap or punch me because of being the 'lucky seatmate' of Isabelle.
"Move" I heard Isabelle said.
Our classmates automatically make way for Isabelle as her voice is cold and authoritative.
My breathing became rugged. Isabelle is approaching me and I can't help myself from blushing as I am imagining her as my gorgeous knight trying to save an ugly nerd like me.
She lends her hand in front of me and the groan of our classmates intensified as well the beating of my heart.
She arches her eyebrow at me, telling me to put my hand on hers.
"I... uh" Is what all I can say because I can't take her hand as mine is sweating and I know that I will just embarrass myself.
"Stupid" She said before grabbing my right hand and escorting me to our designated seats.
I blushed seeing our hands together.
'Great, now my whole senior high school year will be far from peaceful anymore and I am sure of that.' I thought to myself.
