Ivory's POV
Avril and I have been noticing the changes in Sammy's behavior. She's becoming extra happy each day and we couldn't help but wonder the reason for such happiness.
She is often late during first class but not late enough to send her to the detention office given as well that they have training early in the morning every time. When break time, she would just eat a little portion of food fast and will excuse herself saying that she will just be going somewhere.
Even after the class has ended, she will give us excuses every time that she can't go walk with us when going home. We could ask her and demand for her to stop doing what she is doing but seeing her happy, we know we couldn't be happier seeing her full of life.
'What could be the reason for your happiness, Sammy?' I thought to myself and looked in her direction.
There, I saw her smiling genuinely again as if she was so happy while the red tint is visible on her face. My gaze then went to the Ice Queen of this school and even though her face is in her usual blank face, I can clearly see the glint of joy in her eyes.
'Perhaps it is not what, but rather who' I said to myself before averting my eyes at them. I just smiled contentedly.
I just hope Isabelle will not hurt my best friend or else, I'll destroy her myself.
Samantha's POV
I heard noises from our classroom but our classmates are not trying to create any scenes because after all, the student body president is still our classmate.
We currently don't have a teacher so I just busied myself doodling something on my notepad while my other hand is on my desk and my chin resting on it lazily.
I heard my phone beeped and my heart flutter when I saw who sent me the message.
"Bored?" Isabelle simply texted but I couldn't still stop being giddy.
Looking back on how we exchanged digits, believe it or not, she was the one who demanded that she should have my number and I should have hers.
It was after Allison asked for my number and, of course, I gave it to her because I believe that there's nothing wrong with that.
But strangely, Isabelle did not talk to me for the whole class and if I am not mistaken, it looks as if she was pissed. I just went to the student council room after the class to talk to her. She wouldn't talk to me when I arrived so I just sit patiently, waiting for her to tell me if she have a problem.
"Why are you here?" She coldly asked, not bothering to look at me.
'Why is she being cold again?' For a moment, my heart twitched in pain.
I sighed.
"You aren't talking to me" I replied softly, almost just like a whisper while my head hung low.
"Why bother? You can just talk to my friend anyway" She coldly replied. Bitterness can be heard in her voice.
'Talk? Friend?' I questioned myself, puzzled at what Isabelle is talking about.
Seeing the confusion in my face, she just hissed and pulled out her phone which by the way is the latest brand released by Apple, and hand it to me.
I looked at her, confused.
"Your number, stupid" She impatiently demands.
I just silently obliged but then a realization hit me and I slowly smiled at her teasingly.
