Samantha's POV

I was wrong.

Tuesday up until Friday, I wasn't able to talk to Isabelle because she was with Marcus all the time and I am not that bold enough to approach her while she's with her suitor and friends.

I sighed.

Today is Saturday and I have nothing to do aside from doing my homework which I finished already.

I reached out my phone from my bedside table and just planned to check out my social media accounts just so I can have something to do but seeing that there's nothing new and special, I threw my cellphone beside me.

Minutes after, I decided to open my Instagram to stalk Isabelle's account since she wouldn't leave my mind. I wasn't surprised when I saw how many followers she has but what surprised me is how many people she followed because there is none.

I scrolled down and I saw that there were just almost thirty pictures that she uploaded and most of them were not her but rather those were pictures of nature, foods, and random things.

What caught my attention is the very first picture that she uploaded. It was a hand holding a paper.

I was intrigued because it looks familiar and I just couldn't remember where I have seen the paper.

I was stopped from my train of thoughts when I heard Sofia's voice calling out for my name.

I went downstairs and I saw her holding a volleyball ball and I instantly smiled.

Sofia and I both like volleyball and we would play often when we are bored and we would fight against each other. It is one of the things that we enjoy doing together that also serve as bonding for us.

"Want to bet something?" Sofia asked.

"Why are you so obsessed with making a bet every time we play?" I asked her back, amused.

She just shrugged.

"It would be nice to win something you know," She said then look at me.

I nodded.

"What about..." I said, thinking about the best bet.

Sofia hummed indicating that she's waiting.

"If you win, I'll do all your home works since I know you still haven't started doing anything yet.." I said smirking because I know it is true.

Her eyes sparkled and I know she will agree right away knowing that Sofia may be really smart but she can be so lazy when doing school activities.

"You didn't finish the condition, what do I need to do if I lose? Do you want me to do your assignments as well?" Sofia asked.

"No, I am already done doing all of them" I replied to her cockily.

She hissed.

"Then what?" She asked impatiently.

"Buy me a book," I said.

"That's too easy, you could even go and buy it yourself," She said.

"I rather not, it's quite expensive and hard to find" I replied.

"Don't want to spend money, eh?" She teased.

"You need to buy millions of books first before our, no, perhaps your money alone before you got broke" She added.

I just rolled my eyes but didn't dare to reply.

"Alright, tell me the name of the book if you win which I highly doubt," She said while smirking at me.
