Samantha's POV

I went home yesterday and just decided to go straight up to my room after seeing my younger sister and my parents in the living room laughing.

My sister's name is Sofia Miller, age 16 and well, we're close because of just a 1-year gap but I hate it when she's being annoying and nosy.

'Yup, I have an annoying and nosy little sister' I thought to myself while rolling my eyes.

Good thing that they didn't saw me because I am just too exhausted right now.

I went downstairs to eat dinner.

"How's your day, honey?" Mom asked while smiling sweetly at me.

"Nothing special, mom" I replied, smiling back at her.

"I saw her go upstairs a while ago and she seems so happy" Sofia blurred out while shoving foods on her mouth.

I glared at her secretly and she just smirks at me.

"Is it true, honey?" Dad asked. He looks really intrigued by what Sofia said.

"Well, I was just so happy because I am now in my senior high school year" I said, fidgeting my fingers under the table because I am feeling nervous.

"Is that so? Well, we are happy for you too, honey" Mom said, still with her sweet and gentle smile.

"Don't forget to make friends and socialize with others, baby" She added.

I nodded at her and said that I will.

Suddenly, my interactions with Isabelle popped up in my head and I can't help but to blush.

Socializing with Isabelle scares me but I can't help but to look forward to our next interaction.

'Here I am, eating with my family yet Isabelle was still able to invade my mind' I said to myself, mentally face palming myself.

I sighed.

I said my excuse to my parents and told them that I still need to do some homework.

I kissed them both first and messed my sister's hair before going back to my room.

I did all my night routines before going to bed.

I just stare at my ceiling for a couple of minutes before drowning in deep slumber.

-----------------------------

My sister and I are studying in the same school but we never go to school together.

Sofia is one of the most popular students in our school despite being just a junior high school student because of so many reasons.

First, she is stunningly gorgeous which is far from my nerd look.

Second, she has black hair just above her shoulder and solid black eyes which she got from our dad while my long blonde curly hair and hazel eyes are from our mother.

She is intelligent, well I am too because our parents are but I rarely show it off while my sister usually competes with other schools.

Our attitude are also opposite, I am an introvert while she's not.

Sofia is fiercely tough and bold which contradict my shy and quiet personality.

I told her the reason why I don't want us to go to school together and at first, she was hesitant but in the end, she just respected my decision.
