Suzy had the brilliant idea that we should walk around two and two, and she chose Marina, she's probably still mad about the Ryan thing...Anyway, I obviously got to go with Jennifer. To my suprise, she's very kind. We went to some small store in the mall, called 'Elsie's dress and clothing boutique' supposedly run by an old friendly lady, named Elsie (surprise).
I've met so many nice people today, Marina's mom, this dress shop lady, and Jennifer is kinda nice as well. The tiny store was filled with display dresses.
The shop gave off a home like vibe, very cozy. It smelled like freshly cut wood and vanilla scented candles. We were greeted by Elsie, she was shorter than me and probably in her 70's, looking like a real grandma."oh hello dears, how are you?" she said sweetly "Hi Elsie, we're good thank you" Jennifer smiles "we are looking for some dresses for the upcoming prom" Elsies eyes lit up and she let out a quiet laugh "well, I can let you in on a little secret all the best dresses are in the back" she showed us to the back. Jeniffer was already running around looking at the many beautiful dresses, and I just stood there (kind of awkward) not knowing what to look for. "Can I help you, dear?" Elsie asked in a motherly tone "um, yeah. I don't know what I'm looking for.." "yes, I can help with that, what is your name, dear? I haven't seen you around here before." Elsie started walking around, and I just followed her "My name is Autumn, I just moved here" I answered "Pretty name, to a pretty girl" Elsie said, she said it like it was nothing and just a random fact. But it actually made me happy, so with a big smile on my face I said "Thank you".
"Autumn! look at this dress!" Jennifer said almost bouncing up and down "I swear if i can't fit it I'm gonna cry" she was standing with a long purple dress with a slight silver shimmer. It would match her eyes perfectly "YES! It would look perfect on you!" I exclaim and run towards her, "I can show you to the fitting room, deary" Elsie said and came (almost) waddling. "Oh don't worry, I know where it is! Could I show it to my friend Suzy?" Jeniffer took the dress down "Of course sweetie" Elsie gave a motherly smile. "So, where were we with you?" Elsie smiled "Well, I'm not that much into dresses... I don't find them that practical" I said and looked around at all the fabulous dresses. "Oh no worries, we have plenty of other other options, jumpsuits or two-piece" Elsie said "Oh cool, I would like to look at a two-piece" I said while smiling at her, she showed me some mannequins. Right off the bat, one caught my eye,
It was a simple white two-piece, with long loose pants and a crop top. "Holy hera! that one's perfect!" I exclaimed "I can tell you like it" Elsie laughs "It would fit you very nicely" "Your way to kind Elsie".
