(EMMY POV)

I glance towards Newt as I sit under the tower, flowers in my hand as I tie them together to make another crown. He was with the Greenie and Alby. It was funny seeing the Greenie run the moment he got out of the box. I guess Gally's eyebrows scared him.

"Emmy! Want to show the Greenie the Glade with Chuck?" I heard Newt ask, and I nodded my head, placing my flowers on the ground.

The greenie looked at me in confusion as I skipped over to Chuck and Newt.

"Hi!" I exclaim as I stick my hand out to the Greenie. "I'm Emmy!"

He stares at me in shock, occasionally glancing at Newt. "Umm, hi."

"I thought there weren't any girls? And she's a kid-" He began to whisper to Newt.

Crossing my arms and throwing a small glare at him, "I'm almost 7 Shuckface."

The Greenie paused, blinking his eyes down at me, while Newt stared at me in shock.

"Emmy! Where did you- Minho! That bloody shuck face, don't say that again alright. Not until your older." Newt wags his finger at me.

"Okay," I nod my head, swaying my arms side to side. "Okay, I'm older!"

Newt blinks, before chuckling and walking towards me. He places a kiss on my forehead, ruffling my hair. "You know what I meant. I've got to go back to Gardening, you be careful alright. And watch out-"

"For the Beatle blades, I know Newt."

He smiles at me before walking away towards the Gardens. Turning towards Chuck and the Greenie, I smile up at them.

"Let go explore the Glade!"

{YOUR POV}

"You shouldn't push yourself so hard Lucy, you just started a few weeks ago. No one wants you to push yourself too hard." I say.

Lucy nods her head as she leans back against the concrete wall of the maze. She slowly turns her gaze to the blank wall and nods her head at it.

"So, that's the way out? That wall opens up and we get out?" She asks.

I sigh and nod my head. " Yeah, I'm mean that's how they had to get to me. So I'm not sure what's behind that anymore. But it's the way out, I'm certain of it."

She nods her head before frowning, standing up straight. "But how are we suppose to open it."

Gazing at the wall, I study it before looking at my watch. We had 20 minutes to get back.

"Don't worry about it, I know how to get it open. But we should head back for now." I state, turning around and beginning to jog away.

~TIME SKIP~

"YN! We got a boy!" Exclaims Isabell, whose face was filled with excitement.

I pause with a frown and look at Lucy for a moment, before looking back at her. I was confused because I knew all the boys were in the Glade, and that this was supposed to be an all-girls maze.

"What do you mean-"

"YN!" Harriet called out, her arms crossed before she nodded to me. I sigh and tap Isabell's shoulder as I pass by her.

"Lucy, go back to the runner's hut and map out the section we ran. I'll help in a little," I state as I walk to Harriet.

"Got it!"

Sonya stood beside the boy and Harriet, the girls in the homestead were eyeing him and whispering. I looked the boy up and down, but I've never seen him before in my life.

"Glad your back, did you find it?"

I glance at the boy again before looking back at her and nodding. "Yeah, it's there and I found it. It's practically in the same spot as in the other one."

She nods her head. "Good that. Now, on to something strange. They sent up a boy this time. You think it means anything?"

I sigh, crossing my arms as I look down in thought. I could see a few of the girls trying to push one another in our direction, obviously wanting to know what was happening. Or what we were talking about. I nearly shivered in disgust as Mary eyed the boy like he was a candy bar.

"Only two things pop into mind really," I look at the boy before looking at Sonya.

"Oh yeah? What is it."

I uncross my arms, walking close to the boy who looked at me nervously.

"One is that he's like Nick, a spy trying to mess us up or even kill me."

His eyes widen, and he immediately shakes his head, stuttering out words that seemed to be him saying no.

"Or, it means they're getting tired of us sitting around and not doing what we were put here to do." I cross my arms again, turning back to Harriet, looking her in the eyes calmly.

She arched her eyebrow, glancing back at the boy before back at me.

"What do you mean?" Sonya asked in confusion, her eyebrows creased as she frowns.

I sigh, looking at the girls who were still whispering and shoving each other in homestead.

"It means that he is the last one that's going to be sent up. And that everything is coming to an end, and fast."

Harriet and Sonya glance at each other, before looking at the boy. He looks back and forth between the three of us nervously. Harriet sighs and rubs her forehead with her fingers before nodding her head.

"Alright, we leave-"

"Not yet, I need another day before then."

Harriet paused looking at me in confusion. "But you found it-"

"Yes I found it, but we need the key first. And I know how to get the key-"

Sonya stepped forward a smile on her face. "If you know how to get it then we can go get it and finally leave-"

"Sonya the key's in a chucking griever." I interrupt feeling my energy slowly leave me. "And I may have killed one before but I would rather like one day to rest before I go in and kill another one."

They both paused, staring at me before Harriet nodded her head. "Alright. One last thing. Do you recognize him?"

I turn my head and look him dead in the eyes. He gulped and moved to look away from me.

"No, I don't recognize him. And I don't trust him either."
