"Were you seriously going to shoot Roman?" Virgil asked. "You know you're a terrible shot."

"They aren't normal arrows! I dipped them in tranquilizer that I made before leaving home," Logan explained. "I had a plan. I did promise you that I would never let you get hurt again."

"Well I'm fine. Oh shoot, did anyone from the village come with you? I don't like the idea of them wandering around this castle."

"No, everyone believed I was crazy when I told them about the bea- about Roman and this castle. No one volunteered to help."

"No one?" Virgil sounded a bit disappointed.

"I'm sure if I asked Mr. Miller, he would have helped, but he's too old and I didn't think it would be a good idea to bring him here. Well, someone did volunteer."

Virgil was able to easily guess who it was by Logan's expression. "Lukas."

"Whose Lukas?" Roman asked.

"He's my ex, he... wasn't a good guy." Virgil turned back to Logan. "What did you say?"

"I'll admit, at first I considered it, I thought that I might need all the help I could get. Then he tried to make a deal with me and I'm surprised I didn't kill him on the spot. He said he would only help if I gave him your hand in marriage."

"Wait what?" Roman almost shouted, only catching himself at the last second.

Virgil literally growled, "I hate that guy! Who does he think he is?!"

"A Gaston," Logan answered.

"If I ever see him again I might end up killing him myself. I told him to leave me alone, that I never want to see him again! You've told him the same thing! And after everything he's done to me, after all the abuse- he thinks he can just walk right back into my life?!"

"Abuse?" Roman asked, even more angry now.

"He-" Virgil sighed, placing his hand over his eye where his scar was. Remus had given him some makeup to continue to put under his eyes. "He's hit me several times while we were dating."

"Where does he live?" Roman asked in a surprisingly calm way. "And what does he look like?"

"You won't be able to take a step into the village without being killed, so don't think about it."

"Ooh but I can," Remus said. "No one will ever know I was there."

"If anyone's killing Lukas it's me," Virgil told him.

"Or we can not be charged with murder," Logan said. "I'd rather not see you be thrown in jail or worse."

"It probably doesn't matter, it's not like I'm going to be leaving this place any time soon," Virgil reminded them. "I will miss the library at home, I wish I could just bring Mr. Miller here but he would miss the village. But I'm stuck here and Lukas won't touch me here."

"Why don't we go find something for lunch," Roman offered. "Besides, the only person left that hasn't met Logan is Patton. Well, you've at least never officially met."

"Hold on, there's a lot that needs to be explained," Logan said. "Why are there invisible people here- heck how are there invisible people? Why has no one ever come across this castle before?"

"That can be explained during lunch. You're really going to need to sit down for that."

"A dragon witch?" Logan asked, skeptical.

"Oh yeah," Remus said. He was leaning back in his chair, the front legs were off the floor and Logan expected it to fall over any moment now. "She was horrible, I tried to stab her with some broken glass but, well, she's a dragon witch!"
