"Morning Alan!" I exclaim, kissing his cheek. "Oh hey Mia! How are you?" He asks, wrapping one of his arms around me. "Fantastic!" I exclaim. He groans, "It's too early to be fantastic."
I grin, grabbing some pieces of bread and popping them into the toaster. "I thought about what we were talking about," I whisper. "What's your decision?" He asks, looking concerned.
"I'm staying," I smile. "Yes! I'm so happy! I knew you would!" He cheers. I laugh, "You're not getting rid of me yet!" Alan nods, "I'm glad you're staying, even if you're a weirdo."
I hold my hands up in defense, "Hey! You're a weirdo too, so you can't really say anything." He shakes his head, "Touché."
My toast pops up, and I spread some butter on it and grab a plate. I sit down and begin eating. Alan walks by and swipes a piece. "Hey! Give. That. Back," I demand. He shakes his head and takes a bite, "Mhm. This is delicious." I pump a fist into the air, "You will pay!"
I finish my toast, and put my plate onto the sink. I walk upstairs and change into some comfy clothes, and walk back downstairs.
"I've gotta go to the studio today. You can come if you want, Mia," Alan says. I nod, "That sounds fun. I wanna go!" Alan laughs, "I figured you would."
"I'm leaving in about fifteen minutes, you better be ready," Alan warns. I nod, "Okay chief!" He smiles, and walks off. I sit on my laptop for a while, and check Pinterest.
I pin about a jillion things. Then, Alan calls. "Mia! I'm leaving! You ready?" He asks. I close my laptop, and slip on my coat, "Yep! Let's go."
We drive this time, to YC Records. None of the guys are here, so I patiently wait on the couch.
Seconds later, Chad, Joey, and Caleb burst through the door. Chad obviously has Joey in a headlock, while Caleb blabs about something.
"FINALLY! I've been waiting been waiting here for like 20 seconds!" I exclaim. Chad rolls his eyes, "How dare we leave the queen waiting." Joey bows, "I'm so sorry your majesty."
I giggle, "I will not throw you in the dungeon.....this time." Caleb smirks, "You would NEVER throw us in the dungeon. You love us too much." I stick my tongue out, "Try me."
"Woah woah woah settle down kids," Alan says. "Mia threatened to throw us in the dungeon!" Chad says, pointing a finger at me. Alan wags a finger, "Children. I would suggest stopping now." Joey rolls his eyes, "Fine dad! I'll be good!"
"Let's get down to business!" Caleb exclaims. "To defeat the Huns!" Chad, Joey, and I exclaim. "Why me?" Alan asks, face-palming, while we laugh.
The guys record their song, and for some reason Alan sends me home with Chad, promising to pick me up later.
We get to Chad's house and walk inside. "What am I supposed to do in this place?!" I ask Chad. He laughs, "Play pretend, I don't know."
I put my hand on my hips, "Play pretend? I'm fifteen years old, I don't play pretend." Chad smirks, "Wanna bet?"
Seconds later, we're acting out scenes from our favorite Disney movies. "SWIFT AS A COURSING RIVER!" I exclaim, laughing. "WITH ALL THE FORCE OF A GREAT TYPHOON!" Chad replies. "STRENGTH OF A RAGING WILDFIRE!" I sing. "MYSTERIOUS AS THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON!" Chad replies.
I fall into a giggle fit on the floor. "I can't breath," I laugh. Chad puts his hands on his hips, "But you don't 'play pretend'." I stand up, "Go ahead. Mock me, Hook. But I am the great Peter Pan!"
Chad pulls two umbrellas out of the umbrella stand, and we 'duel'.
Soon, we a rudely interrupted by Alan. "Excuse me, Captain Hook?" He asks tapping Chad on the shoulder. "Not now Smee. I'm trying to defeat Pan!" Chad exclaims.
I toss my umbrella down, and walk over to Alan. He smiles, "Wanna get home?" I nod, "Yep." I start to give Chad a hug, but Alan shakes his head, "He's too sweaty. Let's go."
I grab my phone off of the couch, and follow Alan outside. He appears to have walked again. "What? I don't wanna walk," I whine.
Alan sighs, "Fine, hop on!" I jump onto his back, "Giddy up horsey!" He shakes his head, "I'll give you a ride, but I'm no horsey." I giggle, "Okay goofball."
He carries me home, and I jump off his back, and race up the walk. I open the door, and see my family standing inside.
Tears of joy unknowingly flow from my eyes, as I race to greet each of them. After I say hello I turn to Alan, "You knew about this?" He nods, "Yeah. That's why I sent you to Chad's, so we could set up."
I run over and hug Alan, "Thanks Alan! You're the best." He shrugs, "I know I am. I saw how homesick you were, and your family is staying the weekend with us." I smile, "This weekend could be fun."
