Chapter 42 : Not the Same

Y/N POV

You were now just staring at the floor. You were sitting on a block, beside you was Dream. You both sat in silence. He gave you a healing potion earlier, so all of the bruises and scars were gone from your body. It was all just dried blood now. You sighed standing up. You felt his gaze on you. You opened your inventory. You took out your ember chest and placed it on the ground. You opened it and took out a yellow-ish and red-ish potion. You turn around and gave it to Dream.

"Here. A token of thanks." You said. He just looked at it but took it anyway. He examined it. "What is this?" He asked swirling the liquid around. "Just drink it." You said and broke the chest and put it back in your inventory. You turn around to see Dream already drinking the pot. You didn't expect for him to drink it as soon as you told him-I mean who does that? 

When he finishes, the scars and burns start to disappear along with the dried blood. "Woah!" He gasped. "How did it do that?" He asked. His clothes were cleaner. You didn't know what was happening to you. You were feeling something weird and it was something new. not in a good way or a bad way but it was something in between. It was like you didn't want to feel that way but the feeling was good er-fine-something like that.

"It's a healing potion for us, Embers but I don't know why the blood disappeared though." You said as he looked down and examined his clothes. "Anyway, Dream. I think you should be heading back." You said. You wanted the feeling to stop so...

"Uh-yeah, I guess I'll be going now." He said scratching the back of his neck. He stood up and walked away into the shadows. You looked at your mark. It wasn't the same as before. It was fading a little bit and had a red patch surrounding it. It felt weird. 

You look around. You saw where they went when Dream asked them to leave. you went and gone where they went. You saw Wilbur and Tommy arguing about something, Techno deep in his thoughts and Tubbo was crying with Niki. 

"Guys?" they all stopped and looked at you. "Guys, I'm sorry for yelling earlier I-" You were cut off by Niki hugging you. Even Tubbo joined in. They were now hugging you. You hugged back.

"I'm sorry for lying! tommy and Wil made me do it!" He exclaimed causing Tommy to yell.

"Aye! I fucking didn't made you do it! It was only Wil!" You laughed at Tommy. When you and the other's laugh died, it started to get serious.

"Y/n." Techno called. You looked at him awkwardly. You hummed in response.

"I'm uh-sorry for um-lying and Dream telling me-uh stuff." he stammered. It looks like he isn't used to apologizing.

"Techno its fine." he made a little 'phew' sound, sounding relieved.

They all asked questions like 'What are you?' and 'Where are you from' which hurt a little cause you know-it felt like they've been treating you differently. Every question you answered, the more the tension in the room got thicker. But Tubbo, being his wholesome-self, accepted you fully. Tommy and Niki was still a little shocked, Techno already knew this but still his mouth was agape, but Wilbur on the other hand, stayed quiet and just listened. It was like he saw you as a different person now. It pained you a little but you knew this was coming as soon as you showed your glowing eyes. You knew at some point, one of your friends would find it hard to accept you like this. 

Maybe it would have been a little better if you told a little sooner. But then again, everything you've worked for would've crumbled. You were so close in getting the Daggers but everything turned out unexpected. Looks like whatever Lea's plan was, it was turning into reality but a little too soon. 

It was all going as planned. She was going to succeed earlier than expected. You were a little scared on what her plan was because you were clueless for so long and you just realized it when she almost killed you with that fake necklace which just disappeared with her. 

She was planning something much more worse and you didn't know it, and when it hits you. Oh-you'd wish it doesn't go to plan. You were just sitting on your usual spot but on a floating crystal above the hill. 

You felt weird. It wasn't a good feeling but it wasn't that bad either. It wasn't like the feeling when you were with Dream which caused your stomach to flip. This feeling was really bothering you and your marks. The one on your cheeks was stinging a little bit and the one on your wrist was fading a little bit. 

You realized that the reason your eyes glow was because it was sign of warning or alert, like a signal when you're in danger or going to be. From at this point and on, you knew, that nothing was ever going to be the same again....
