I went back to my car, and sat in the driver seat for half an hour looking at nothing.
My phone buzzed and it was Violate.
The massage said:
*Did you talk to him?*
Well no Violate, I did NOT.
I replayed:
*No, I’m coming home*
She replayed:
*Are you okay?*
What kind of a question was that?
No I wasn’t okay.
I started the car and drove away from the airport.
You know that feeling, when you are in the car and you packed nothing but you don’t care and all you want was to drive away and start from the beginning or just end the journey of your own past?
I was going to do it; I was going to drive away with a huge plate of sushi and a melted chocolate.
And no. it wasn’t because my boyfriend dumped me by travelling.
But I had an idea. And I needed to think more.
‘Louie Winker Bar’
I entered the bar and prayed that no one will recognize me.
I stood there processing my sentence or to be more specific, I was practicing on how perverts, alcoholics, hopeless human being and murders ask for a drink.
I heard a familiar voice saying “I’ll have the usual”
I turned around and saw Jack!
“Jack?” I almost whispered but enough for him to hear.
“Amber!” he shouted with a big smile “what are you doing here?”
“I-I always come here” I lied.
“Me too! Hey what do you want to drink? It’s on me” he winked.
“I will have what you ordered” anxiety was evident in my voice tone.
Jack turned to face the bartender “Hey Philip, make it two”
The red lights were annoying me, so we sat in the corner.
“So what’s up?” he smiled.
“Fine you?”
“Great” he laughed “did you and your boyfriend make up?”
“No… I don’t know” I answered him.
“What do you mean by you don’t know?” he questioned.
“It means that I don’t know, I just found out that he travelled out of the town without telling me”
Jack stared at me with wide eyes.
I smiled at him and nodded. As in yes, I couldn’t believe it either.
“Tell me everything” he said.
And that’s what I needed. To tell someone I barley know everything was happening with me, just like in Envy movie.
Tim and I were losing a lot of things.
So I told him everything.
“What about the sushi and the chocolate?” Jack asked me.
“What about them?” I asked back.
“Do you still have them?” he looked at me in a catty starving way.
“Yes and you can have them, even though I believe the sushi is ruined_”
