When we arrived, I looked at Adam “thanks for the ice cream”
“No need, I hope you enjoyed our little hang out today” he smiled.
I rolled my eyes.
His eyes gazed behind me and I turned around to find Violate waving at us happily.
“Oh no…” I mumbled and turned again to face Adam who was waving back at Violate “Oh god…”
“She’s nice” he said.
“Yeah and annoying too” I joked “okay, thanks again, goodbye”
I began to climb the stairs.
“Hey, wait…” Adam yelled.
“What?”
“You didn’t give me your number” his stupid smile is back. Ugh!
“It’s still too soon” I said.
“Maybe next time…”
“Maybe…” I joked
After he left, the door opened and there was Violate screaming “OH.MY.GOD!!!”
I walked passed her and entered the house.
“I’m sorry to let you down but nothing happened we just hang out… or that’s what he called it… so take a deep breath before you die from the excitement” I sighed.
“You were with Adam” she was obviously choking “tell me every detail now!!”
“I told you nothing happened!” I lied, unless… having your guy friend touch your hand in the middle of a deep conversation is something normal. Then nothing happened.
Wait, he’s now MY friend?
“Really?” she frowned.
“Yeah, sorry for disappointing you” I told her.
“Actually I am, like are you sure nothing happened?” she asked.
I shocked my head.
“He didn’t make any move? Flirting, acting nervous, try to hold your hand or even touch you?” she smirked.
Okay, that means one thing. Damn!
I shocked my head again.
“Bummer, I really thought he was into you…but I guess I was wrong” she smiled kindly.
“So did you like the pancakes?” I asked trying to change the subject.
Her face lightened up “yes I did! It was delicious; you’re really such a great cook, thanks”
“Well, I’m glad that you liked it” I said and looked away.
“So…” she began “what shall we do today? Any devil ideas?”
Oh no, I can see her horns start to grow up.
“Nowhere” I grabbed a chair and sat, my feet hurts.
“BORING!” she yelled.
“Beside what can we do in this tedious town?” I told her and then looked at her…
She was looking at me… that look that every girl like Violate, gives every girl like me. Uh-oh.
“I-I- I’m not doing that!” I said while getting away from her as possible as I could.
“Yes you are Amber” she was walking towards me slowly. Her invisible horns are clear to me now.
“On my dead body!” I shouted.
