As I watched Violate packing her stuff, I stood there looking at her quietly with every piece of me screaming ‘stay’.

I know I should’ve stayed with my sister in the past two days but instead I locked up myself inside the room.

I was angry, and I don’t have the right to be, for two reasons:

1-    I was the one who wished her away the moment she stepped into the house.

2-    This wasn’t her town, she didn’t live here.

And even Adam himself couldn’t cheer me up, he even promised me that both of us will go and visit her.

I just stared at him and said “this is what my father has to tell me, not you”

This time Violate didn’t try to cheer me up, I guess she was upset about the same thing, besides her break up with Edward.

Violate finished packing and went downstairs to have her last dinner with us.

My father left us so we could eat alone and have a private sister-to-sister chitchat.

But we just sat there across each other not eating a thing, I glared at her a little and opened my dry mouth to speak, I said that one word that I hopped it will change something…

“Stay” my hands started to shake.

She raised her head up to look at me.

“I…” I cleared my throat “I know I’m being selfish, but stay, stay here with me and my dad”

She titled her head a little, questioning what I just said.

“The educational system here is not very different from Canada”

Okay hold on, did I try to seduce her to stay here by talking about the educational system in Lametown?

But again why I was asking here about staying here if I – myself – will travel to New York very soon.

“What are you talking about?” she asked.

“About you staying here?” I answered.

“But I can’t, you know I can’t, even if I wanted to” her tone was full with disappointment.

“So what now, you want me to let you go and wait for you till next summer?”

“No really, but what can we do?”

“Stay!” I cried out.

“And you think ‘they’ will agree?”

“It’s your decision!”

“I’m sixteen Amber! I don’t do decisions on my own like you did, you don’t think I want to be with you?”

She was right, I take my own decisions since ever, because my mom wasn’t here to advise me or anything.

“What about you? Why don’t you come with me and stay in Canada?”

Was she dumb or what asking me such a thing?

Before I could respond, my dad entered the dining room and mumbled “girls it’s time to go”

“Of course” I said as I stood up and stormed out of the room.

Adam and Edward were waiting for us outside.

As Edward went to the house to help Violate carrying her luggage, I stood there facing Adam with my eyes on the homeless cat.

I know what he was going to stay, he would say something about me ignoring him these two days, but he understood.

He stared at me in the eye “what?” I asked annoyed.
