Shen Wei tried to work just like before the doctors visit but it seemed impossible. His mind wandered everywhere, the what ifs haunting him. He had a feeling he met Zhao a long time ago, he seemed so familiar yet how is it possible? Perhaps the doctor has been involved in a case of his?

His mind raced faster than his computer's processor as he thought of all places his client could be. He fell asleep with all his work spread out in front of him. He was in some half sleep as he registered female voices talking about something insignificant to him. The only comment he heard somewhat coherently was:

"Hoping one asshole gets fired."

Da Qing sat by Cat Lady's bed day and night, for some reason that was the place where he felt the safest. Of course he couldn't ignore his vibrating badger all the time as he was constantly called here and there. He sighed, getting on his way to the Operating room, wishing to punch that fat government man. For once Cat Lady didn't look as fierce, nor did she annoy him day and night and for once that annoyed him. He watched the woman as the beeping sounds of the monitor were beeping. That fucking monitor annoyed him.

"You know…", he whispered as he stroked her hair, "I always loved your presence. It's weird to view you as a patient when I always thought you'd make me into one."

After hours Da Qing visited their resting room, for once surprised with the silence there. He'd thought it was empty, had it not been of the scribbling of a pen.

"Da Qing! You finally came!" Snake Lady came out of their mini kitchen with an iced coffee.

"Wait, you're here too? How come there's nothing flying around or screaming when both of you are together in a room?"

"She's secretly but not so secretly in love with  me." Fire Macho said absentmindedly. He was sure that Snake Lady would throw hands, tails or coffee into him but somehow she didn't.

"I'd send this coffee flying right into your smug face but it took me too much time to make for such a disgraceful end."

"It would be more of a disgraceful act to be inside you." Ye Huo only then realized what he said as if on reflex, already ducking under the table. The coffee came crashing right onto his report as Da Qing quickly made his way out before a sparring fit.

Zhao walked into the room observing the casual fight. They must have been enemies in their last lives, he thought.

"Daddys coming back!" Zhao faked enthusiasm surprising the two. And if Zhao's father would see Ye Huo first, it wouldn't profit any of them. And that's when they came up with a plan.

He was sure that his father would have no choice but to please the higher ups. He hated the system for that particular detail. For some reason Mr. Kim wouldn't get arrested for assaulting a woman in a hospital. He really thought of calling a few friends up to do the job if it was needed.

He saw a commotion at Shen Wei'a small window in his door. He wondered what it was about, particularly with so many awed looking women gazing into his direction. As they saw him, they tried to hide it as they were usually only watching him with so much desire.

Zhao wasn't surprised as he caught the view of Shen Wei's half elevated body in front of the computer, the eyes closed, yet hands ready to work. He walked into the room, checking his vitals as an excuse to watch the male. For some reason he was like a highlight of the day for Zhao. Even the lawyer's mysterious action was making the whole thing even more interesting. He wanted to know more, all the while questioning himself if he would lose interest after seducing the lawyer.

He elevated Shen Wei's gown, sensing the small shiver that came from his body. Zhao chuckled getting to know his body better. He felt as if he was doing something that wasn't allowed-

Hell nah. He was a doctor. Of course he as allowed to pull the gown-

After all it wasn't allowed for a treating doctor to have an affair with his patient. Zhao, of all people wasn't one to be interested in patients for so long. As soon as the mystery and suspense was gone, so was his desire. Easy as that. Always has been, always will be.

"Doctor Zhao?" Shen Wei's voice was filled with grogginess, his hair all messy and cute. If he'd have grey sweatpants on, it would be the full pack.

"Aren't nurses supposed to do the vital check ups." came the tired voice.

"Not If I operated you." Zhao grinned, for some reason enjoying it far too much. Maybe it was because of how handsome Shen Wei was, maybe because Shen Wei didn't seem as awed with him as others. Maybe he just liked his personality.

Zhao looked at Shen Wei's body.

Yea, personality.

Shen Wei interrupted Zhao's inspection. He asked the doctor about the rumours going on in the hospital.

"So you heard it too. If they fire Fire Macho I swear I won't treat anyone out of that goddamn Kims clan." Zhao swore.

"I'm afraid nothing will be done to him. I've had his wife's case for a while. He is as dense and as stuck up as one can be. If not for his capability, then his family. They have been around for a while. There's no way his name can even be tainted-"

"Then tell me how the media will react when they find out that a high class lawyer landed in the hospital with his wife." Zhao cringed after the words left his mind.

"Yeah that doesn't really sound good."

"It sounded better in my head." Zhao sighed, making Shen Wei laugh.

"I've talked to our friend. He's thinking that media coverage will impact your case and stop my colleague from getting fired. At least without riling that asshole's reputation a bit. ", Zhao continued.

"You want the media to see me like this?" the question slipped Shen Wei's lips. It was rather rhetorical but for some reason he slightly blushed at what he allowed himself.

"That's exactly how they should see you. Or with a few more blue spots." Zhao smirked.

"You want to hit me?" Shen Wei raised his eyebrows.

"Sorry no, hitting on you sounds more like it."

Shen Wei rolled his eyes, smiling inside as he reached for his computer.
