get an abortion
"Excuse me?" He was sure she would get an abortion. He should have thought of her saying no. Maybe she was just saying it to make him pissed? He couldn't risk it. His family would disgrace him for having a child outside of marriage. They always told him if he had fun, to always use protection.
"I said no. This is my baby. I'm keeping it. If you'd be smarter you would use protection. Yet again you relied on luck, just like after every stupid thing you did. Nothing will make me change my decision. I will go to court if you don't send your baby money. After all, it takes two to make one." Zhu Hong snapped.
Her face was straight. She felt determined, just like when she was going through med school. She smiled, even if it was a mistake, maybe it will be the happiness of her life. She had a good career, she had her uncle who would always support her. It was a big decision and she wasn't about to be selfish about it so she had to think everything through if she was keeping it. For once she didn't want to hit herself in the face for being stupid. She simply accepted the outcome of her not thinking things through. She knew she was a person, she made mistakes, but she wasn't about to further blame others and herself.
She reminded herself to thank Shen Wei for his advice. For some reason, she didn't want to give her ex the satisfaction of doing what he wants.
After considering all the legal and illegal ways to approach Mr. Kim, the duo had an idea. Shen Wei berated them on how illegal something maybe with a scale from "one to how many years spent in prison."
They finally decided on something.
"I work at a company, which directed me to you. No sir, it's confidential, don't you remember?" Nikki was on the call as Cooper seemed to completely hate the idea.
Shen Wei observed them. They seemed close, but not like some friends. He would describe it as a 'ride or die' relationship.Apparently, Mr. Kim wanted an errand boy around him so it worked. As far as all of them were concerned.
"We were trying to reach you, yet your phone number wasn't available, thankfully you gave us an address." Nikki sang, his voice as smooth as honey. The phone call seemed to be going well, the man knew how to talk.
"If you're about to do what I think you will, it will get you in a lot of trouble." Shen Wei sighed, already feeling guilty that he had to get others involved in his mess.
"Don't worry about us, we're used to these kinds of situations." Cooper turned around from staring at the whiteboard, "Now the question is, where is your client?"
Shen Wei observed the documents he saw way too many times. "If only I knew."
"There's an easy way to find out." Cooper noticed, "we'll just ask him."
"I wanted to apologize for the last time." There he was, yet again in front of her, making it seem like he was the good partner he never was. Zhu Hong's ex was like a stick in the ass, whenever and wherever you moved, you just felt discomfort.
"Now that doesn't seem like you," she said, already wanting this talk to be over.
"I know I just-", he sighed, "you know my parent's situation. They want me to be the perfect son, who gets married and has a child. I know that it's not your fault I cheated. And after all, both of us know that the child is better off if it has both parents. I thought about it for a long time and I want you to marry me."
Zhu Hong stared at him for a long time.
What the hell happened to him.
In the two months of them dating, never has he been like this. He never seemed like a person to even have a direction he wanted to get his life in. Hell, he got kicked out of his parents' house and it's not some surprise that he wants to please them. She had a weird feeling in her stomach. Something was telling her that something was wrong.
"I know that it would be a big decision to marry me. But I want you to consider it. At least for the child.", He gave her the bag and the coffee he was holding. "Here. I read it's good for the baby. And don't smoke."
He smiled slightly before getting his way out. She stood in the middle of the waiting room. Completely silent. She didn't know what to think. What the hell just happened. I'm not marrying him.
How would it help the child if it's the glue in a relationship? That would be just the usage of a living thing. It didn't ask to be born. Zhu Hong, for some reason, blaming it on the hormones, thought: what if he really wanted to change?....
What the hell. He cheated. People don't change. She knew that. It was purely pathetic to want to marry someone to please their parents. She sighed, sipping at the coffee. He never brought her food to work. Hell, he didn't even know her friends because he was constantly away or as she thought "busy".
But after him cheating, she just realized that the effort of getting to know her friends weren't even needed. He simply didn't want to waste the time.
Zhu Hong's tag vibrated as she snapped out of her thoughts. She put the coffee to the side and got out to take in a few patients.
Zhao had a splitting headache. He sighed as he had to tick in a few forms yet after a few barked orders here and there, he got the poor Guo to do his job. Good that he just thought that his chief was getting him material to practice on.
He came into the room and saw some free coffee. He grinned, taking the whole thing to himself. He decided to work on his computer before the drowsiness kicked in. He probably should have eaten something yesterday. His last meal was with his friends after he simply forgot to eat. The juice bags sufficed for that matter. He was about to fall asleep when he saw a message from Shen Wei. He grinned, reaching for his phone when his condition steadily worsened.
"What the-'' Zhao whispered before feeling his legs weaken as he fell on the couch. He felt muscle pain in his arms and legs. His stomach hurt, yet he thought nothing of it. It's nothing new if you forgot to eat. Just a bit of food and it'll be all good.
He didn't want to eat though. He wanted to see what Shen Wei texted him. His breathing shortened, his eyes squinted at the phone, yet he saw nothing. Some weird sound came to his ears.
"What in the-"
He pressed his badge before he felt like his whole body was exploding. His breath was uneven. It didn't seem like a normal headache.
