Bailey parked in the parking lot and tried to hurry to the booth. She didn't mean to wake up late and was starting to think that Beli left her. She sighed as she looked around. Just as she was about to go in without her, her date called out to her.

"My apologies that I'm late!"

Bailey looked up to see Beli in an orange dress. She smiled gently and shrugged. "It's not a problem!" She scratched the back of her neck. She avoided looking up at her date. "Honestly I thought you left since I was the one who was late."

They started walking through stalls. They were both quiet, but it was a bit comforting. The hybrid glanced up and decided to ask, "So, a bit of an awkward question, but exactly how tall are you?"

Beli looked up from the produce she was checking out. She giggled a little. "That's okay," she reassured. "I'm just an inch below six feet."

Bailey snapped her fingers once and nodded. "Figures, had a gut feeling about that. My siblings are all taller than me. That's what I get for skipping out on my milk I guess." She pointed to a tomato group farthest to Beli. "This is fresh off the vine. Picked off this morning."

The farmer chuckled. "You got that right! I put the fresher ones in the back since they go bad last. You've got an eye for produce." They bagged a couple in a small bag and handed it to Beli. "That partner of yours is a keeper, miss!"

Bailey laughed a little while Beli fidgeted with her silver bracelet shyly. She nodded and muttered, "O-Oh! Thanks!"

They simply nodded and watched them leave to the next stall. Bailey tugged on Beli's jewelry-free arm and pointed to a stall with small animals. "Hey look! They got chickens!" When they got close, the birds in their cage freaked out and began huddling to one side, away from Bailey. However, the puppies in a little pen started whining. Bailey was a bit disappointing when the chickens squawked in fear.

"How strange," Beli commented with a small smile. "It looks like animals show a particular behavior around you."

Bailey pulled away from the cage and shrugged. "Y-Yeah. I guess they do. I'll uh..." She pointed away from the stall. "Wanna walk around a little? I don't really come to the farmer's market every day unless it's for like meat products."

They walked side-by-side, subconsciously making sure to avoid the bracelet. Bailey looked up as she asked, "You mentioned you were free from work? What exactly?"

"I'm a yoga instructor at the local gym!" she answered. "I've been practicing for years. How about you?"

"Work is a bit over the place," Bailey replied. "I guess you could say I'm a freelancing voice actress for now."

Beli tilted her head. "Voice acting?"

Bailey nodded. "Yeah, you know for cartoons and commercials. I actually get paid pretty well!"

"Are you happy with that?" Beli wondered.

"What's not to love!" she beamed. "I can choose my schedule, who to work with, and more free time with my kid."

Beli giggled a little. "I'm starting to sense that you're a family person. That's quite an admirable trait." They glanced at each other for just a second before Beli swiftly looked away. The couple stopped at another booth. This time with some exotic meats. The hybrid whistled to the butcher, who was distracted with a newspaper.

"How can I help?" they asked.

"You got any rabbit meat left?" she asked.

They pulled out a carcass from the other side of the stand. Beli, although disgusted, thought that she shouldn't ask Bailey about her food preference. The butcher gave her what she ordered and she paid them what they needed. When they walked away again, Bailey was a bit more nervous than usual. Beli picked up on it and tried to ask her.
