As Bailey got ready for bed, she was also searching for a book to let Nine borrow. She came across a dusty book that she hasn't touched in years. Bailey flipped through, gave it a tap to get the dust off, then went to the guest bedroom. She knocked on the door then entered. Quills was sitting there on the floor teaching Nine how to use a phone.

"So this one is for calling. You already know what that is, and then the other one next to it is for texting. That's like talking but with words, you have to read."

"And speaking of reading, I got you a book, kid." Bailey sat on the rug across from them and handed it. "I liked reading it, and it's really easy."

Nine squinted his eyes as he tried to pronounce the title. "The... ow... Out... Sid. Ers?"

"The Outsiders," Bailey specified. "It's about a poor human kid in a gang trying to fit in with society with his brothers."

"Are you really sure I can have this, lady? I feel like you've given me a lot already..."

Quills scoffed. "Dude, it's all good! You and she are basically in it together! Both of you come from fighting backgrounds, both of you are hybrids, and Quiv is just hoping to get you back on track!"

Nine slowly turned his head at the two. He had no words to describe how he felt.

Meanwhile, Tiffany was lying in bed clinging to her extra pillow. She had her arms wrapped around the makeshift cuddle buddy as she laid awake to think. She reminisced her time with Ben. Then the discovery of him cheating came up, followed by her time with Bailey. She sighed then turned to face the wall. Tiffany was still wearing the jacket she stole from Bailey's room. Although the cousins had similarities, the hybrid was still different. Her eyes shot up at the sound of her phone getting a text. It was Kyanna, asking about her day.

She really needed to sleep. This week was supposed to be review before her exams, but insomnia was latching to her. Her friend seemed in good spirits, despite trying to keep Philip happy.

'I'm seriously so happy that Goldie helped me without any questions. Can you imagine how awkward it'd be if I got the wrong idea!? Speaking of, how was your time after the mall? You two left together right??'

Tiffany left her on read for a minute before texting back. 'We just went back to her place to watch some movies. Then she made me breakfast before she left.'

'Oooh. You stayed the night?'

'Not in that way! Just cuddling. Besides, I'm not sure about taking that step with her...'

Tiffany swore that Kyanna was laughing on the other line. 'Yeah, I can get that. I don't want what happened a couple of years ago to happen again.'

The cheerleader sighed as she texted back. 'Yeah. About that. I found out through a friend that they're... cousins. Like, I had no idea until Kai showed me a pic of them together!'

It was five in the morning again when Bailey was woken up by Quills. He had a pillow taped to his arm as he hit her with a broomstick. It didn't hurt but it definitely woke her up.

"Gah!" Her eyes shot up and she jumped awake. Then she snarled. "You fucking cunt!" She went into her wolf form and lunged at Quills's arm, which he predicted.

"Settle down, Goldie! I woke you up for a reason!" That still didn't calm her down as Bailey shook his arm. The hybrid boy didn't start panicking until he felt her fangs. "WAH! GUYS! SHE'S ABOUT TO LOCK HER JAW!"
