I head to the gynecologist to get tested. "I have been feeling nauseous, dizzy at times, fevers and throwing up sometimes." She smiles before standing up to a trolley full of some medical equipments.

She hands me a cup. "Here, I need your urine please." She says and I nod, taking it.

I sit, waiting for the little pregnancy teat equipment of hers to show the result. She leans her back on the wall, looking at me.

"How long has this been happening?" She asks, I purse my lips. "I think a month or more. I'm not sure." She nods then goes back to the equipment.

She turns to me with a smile. No, no , no, no, no. She's going to say no nicely.

"You're pregnant, congratulations." She says as I lean my head on my palm. I take a deep breath, realizing how messed up it is.

"Um, can you give me a more detailed result? Instead, send me a message. Here's my phone number." I take a pen and a paper that were placed on her table, scribbling it down.

"Ma'am, I don't do that. I don't exchange numbers with patients." She shakes her head. I stand up, I pull out some money after checking my bag.

"I hope you wouldn't mind doing it, thank you." I walk out, taking deep breaths.

I hope it is Khalil's baby, I can't have a child for mukhtar. Wait, this is a good thing. He has been procrastinating my divorce with Khalil, saying he's not ready. This will ginger him to let me get divorced.

I walk back to Dr Jabir's office but Khalil wasn't there. "Mrs Bindawa, your husband just stepped out." He informs as I turn to leave.

"You didn't hear the progress of his eyes." He reminds me. "Oh, I forgot." I turn back and took a seat. "Your husband's eyes are getting a bit better, the chances of him getting his eyesight back is high. Th..-"

He was interrupted when a person enters. "Good afternoon, Dr Jabir." I smile realizing who it is. "Adama." I call her with a smile across my face.

"Sabeeha, what a surprise."  Adama replies before I look at the person behind her, my eyes widens.

"Aisha Sambo?"

"Sabeeha?" She asks. "Its been a long time." I say, looking at her. She looks good, she glowing too.

"Yes, I agree. How long has it been? Ten years, twelve?" Aisha ask as I shrug. "About."

"About." She repeats. "Nurse Adama, what can I help you with?" The doctor asks Adama with a warm smile. "Oh, Aisha, the patient wants the pill prescription the psychologist sent to you." He nods, checking the computer immediately.

"Let me see, what's your name?"

"Her name is Aisha Sambo." I answer, glancing at Aisha with a smile. "Aisha Sambo." He repeats, typing it.

"Here it is." He pulls out a white paper from the table's drawer. He writes it then stands up.

"Thank you." Adama stretches her arm to collect the paper. "No, I'm taking care of it. You should rest." He smiles at her as she puts her arm down.

"No, it's alright. I want to finish my job till the end." He stands in front of her, looking at her in the eyes. She takes the paper from his hands, checking it.

"Okay, wait here, Aisha. I'll be back with the pills." She looks at Aisha then back at Dr Jabir who was still looking at her till she walked out of the office.

He shoves his hands in his pocket and went back to his seat. "Please sit." He says to Aisha.

"So what brings you here? The last time I saw you was at school but I heard you were getting married." I turn to Aisha.

"Yeah, I am and I actually came here with him." She smiles making me nod when my phone rang. It was mukhtar.

"Excuse me." I step out, walking to the ladies room. "Hello, mukhtar?"

"Hey, babe. How are you?" He asks after I enter one of the stalls. "I'm fine."

I won't mention anything about the pregnancy to him till I'm sure.

"I was thinking of coming over to your house, I'm getting ready to go."

"No, not now. I'm not at home, well my temporary home." I whisper when I heard someone came into the bathroom.

"You just said you're fine, don't you love me?"

"Mukhtar, I love you and only you. I'm in the hospital now because I'm feeling a bit feverish. Don't worry."

"Can you just run out of there and come over ASAP?"

"I can't come over but I'll see what I can do."

"Okay, update me about whether you're coming or not."

"Okay, I will. Bye." He hangs up as I let out a sigh. Even if its Khalil's baby, with how clingy mukhtar is, it might be a problem. Wait, its mukhtar, he would understand. I stepped out of the stall, the person that came in left already.

I went back and collected the pills from Dr Jabir before going back to the waiting area to leave. I see Adama and Aisha conversing with the good looking men I saw earlier.

I walk closer and realized they were with Adama and Aisha. "Hey." I say to them with a smile. "Hey, how are you? You're done?"

Aisha asks with the caramel skinned man looking at her by her side. "Yeah, just going to head home."

I say walking to Khalil, where Adama and the other man stood in front of Khalil. "What's going on?" I ask looking at all of them.

"Oh hey, I saw Khalil and wanted to catch up." Adama says smiling, acting uneasily. "Oh that's nice." I nod, glancing at the light skinned, tall man.

"Is he your husband?" I ask. "He's my-". She was interrupted. "I'm her fiancé." He says and she nods. "Yep, my fiancé."

"That's so sweet, you actually look good together." I compliment them making them smile. "Thank you." They chorused.

"You're welcome, we better head out now before you know, traffic."

"Yeah, we should too. I guess I'll see you when I see you." Adama says, i furrow my brows.

"Or we could exchange numbers?" I suggest, narrowing my eyes. "Yes, that would work. My number is........"
******

I walk to the car glancing at Aisha and her husband who conversed with her husband's arm on her shoulder.

I look at Adama too who held hands with her husband, laughing then looked at Khalil whom I helped walking.

What did I do to deserve this?

Khalil's point of view.

I sit on my bed with the help of sabeeha. She grunts, taking in deep breaths.

"Thank you." I say taking off my glasses and touching the eye patch Jabir put on for me. "You're welcome." She says with an annoyed tone before walking out.

I sigh, taking off the patch and rubbing my eyes. "So annoying." I throw the patches on the bed before standing up. I glance at the walking stick, feeling annoyed.

I walk to the bathroom, looking at myself in the mirror. I need a shave. Nobody said acting blind is easy.

I let out a sigh after I take off my clothes so I could take my shower.
